Demand by interested buyers in small vintage Airstreams has increased the value of these gems over the past few years. Jim Polk (SilverPal2), an ASA certified appraiser, will conduct a seminar on values of vintage rigs. More specifically, on values over a range of time; and various levels of restoration and how it affects value.
Looking forward to seeing some new faces and the 'old' familiar ones!

Check is in the mail and we've made site reservations. Looking forward to learning as much as I can. I'm not working on an airstream but a 68 Streamline Countess. I'm sure all the skills will be applicable and I need them all.

Good to hear from you both and also good to hear that the value of my Caravel is rising. I actually overbuilt the trailer with the idea that I would never sell it and the fact that I've invested so much money into it that the only way I'll ever recoup is to enjoy it until I'm dead. Even then I think I'd have to put a clause in my will that states that the trailer has to stay in the family for three generations just so we can break even.
Looking forward to seeing you both in June (without the N0-See-Um bites this year).

I would appreciate your discussing how to build a new exterior access door (the framing, the door, and gaskets). Also, could you discuss installing (or making) louvered exterior panel sections for an LP refrigerator?
Thanks for all your contributions to the restoration rallies.
Hank

Not gonna make it
With much regret, Lisa and I just can't get away this year. I was really looking forward to seeing everyone, learning more, and talking about LED lighting.
We wish safe travels for all and hope to see some video.

Ken,
Do you know what kind of electrical seminars will be presented this year? I could use information about adding 12v with AC and solar charging to vintage Airstreams which never had DC power before.
See you in June, Spike

We are in the process of finalizing the agenda - we have some great new things that have not been covered before as well as expanding topics - electrical is one that we are working on and if it comes together it will be great!

Chris, Lisa & Nash, we will miss you 3 this year! We were looking forward to your talk about LED lighting! The quick overview you provided last year, last minute, was interesting and just the tip of the iceberg! Hope all is going well for you. Also, Boone will miss his bud, Nash. He's come a long way in the year we've had him!
Hank, welcome to Forums and looking forward to meeting you in Albuquerque! My husband is just completing the task you have asked about...time consuming, but beautiful when completed! Beware, you will return to Texas with information overload after attending the Restoration Rally!

I was really looking forward to having Chris and Lisa as neighbors again this year. I wanted to get interior ideas from them. (They had nothing in there last year, but were there just the same.)

I will be the guy with the Airstream hat on.
Ken, I will be attending, check to go out 5/7. I will be doing a whirlwind visit, Friday PM and all day Saturday. How late do the festivities go for folks who are staying off-base?
2 more questions:
1. Will Kip have rollers for sale?
2. Can I get it by airport security?
I am really looking forward to the event as well as some SW food. Anyone have recommendations for some good food spots near the airport?
Mike

Very cool - we don't go too late in the evening as by the end of the day everyone is pretty tired form cramming their brains with all the information we have to present
Sign ups are still going great - we still have room though

Hi,
Is there a class list available? Or maybe I should say what classes will be held on Friday? I will not be able to make it in until Friday afternoon and I wonder what I will miss out on.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks
PS. I am looking to attend a window and door building class specifically

Okay! Okay! I cannot stand it. Let's get this show on the road. All of you that are attending please put your attendance on the rally calendar. Inquiring minds want to know. Really, it is nice to see the list get longer and longer. I know that Ken has people on his list that aren't on the forums much but I want to to see some activity.
Ill be there with my '61 Bambi, who is unfortunately, devolving. Shower (down), Pantry (down), Heater (down), Electrical (still dicey) etc. etc. I am forever hopeful that I will have time et. al. to accomplish these repairs. Until I do I continue to enjoy her and LOVE attending the rally to learn more, more, more.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!
