Jerry - I'm surprised fuel is more expensive on the reservation - around here its usually cheaper...
We will have Pee Wee do a presentation for us - he is very interesting and has many many stories of times past

So that is what I hear - the rumor I heard is that some crazy ladies are planning juavos rancheros for about 140 folks - they have wayyyyy more energy - not to mention higher breakfast skills - than I have!

I have some dietary restrictions, Im gluten-free and I stay away from a lot of foods, so I can try to shop and come up with some options for others, too. I will be staying at the campground in one of Vickie's rental trailers, and will have a rental car to get to the grocery stores.
So- chat here or PM me if you want me to help with "odd diet" foods for any of you
I'm more than willing to help out & feed people.

Tell those crazy ladies that I'm willing to help out any way I can if they need it for those meals. We'll be arriving Thursday and leaving Monday morning, so they can let me know any time.

We are added a new presentation on Vintage insurance taught by a professional Airstream appraiser - we are lucky as he is one of the very few in the country recognized by the IRS and insurance industry - really cool!

Wonder if there would be a market for a dvd of the seminars? We just can't make it but would sure love to see the work.

We have been asked this question many times - we just don't have the ability to do so at this time - we put so very much time and effort into getting professional presenters and vendors to participate - and also we want to encourage folks to come and join us.
Maybe someday if this rally grows big enough...

DITTO the idea of making 'n selling a DVD of the seminars. What a wonderful rally & gathering of Airstream folks. Wish I could be there - as usual, maybe next year.
BTW - For those who have yet to enjoy Pee Wee / Dale, he prefers that folks ask questions rather than for him to just stand up front at a podium. So be thinking of some good questions. Dale is truly "The Real Deal", as is his sweet wife Sue.

Pee Wee inherited tons of old photos and documents from Wally and his mother - many that he has not had a chance to go through - he is donating a lot of it to a museum in Wally's hometown in Oregon - amazing stuff - we are sooo lucky to have this resourse - he is a true treasure.

Pee Wee's old photos . . .
With the usual smile on his face & chuckle in his voice, Dale once told me that someone had referred to him as "a living fossil". He really does own a huge collection of photos & news clips that he loves to share, along with his recollections of early Airstream history. Like Ken said, Dale really is a treasure trove to all of us who strive to deal with our Aluminitus.
Living with a celebrity must be difficult for Sue . . .

I will be giving the Sheet Metal and Riveting seminar at the rally in June. To all those that are attending, the question is, WHAT DO YOU WHAT TO SEE OR DO REGARDING SHEET METAL FABRICATION AND RIVETING?

Lets look at expanding the use of nut plates in our Airstream metal work.
PS...I am still waiting for the eyebrow on the Flying Cloud I asked you about help with. It is now approaching a year since I sent my old one to the "vendor" ....I guess we could talk about building eyebrows....and templates.

Well... I need to make a simple vent cover.
And I'm terrified of the belly pan! :0)

Aerowood, Where do I start? Aside from all of the basics of buck riveting and cutting panels, I would love to see how a new wrap is made, as well as the use of a shrinker/stretcher.

Kip, maybe we could work in some form blocks and 3003 soft aluminum and show how to make these curved pieces without an english wheel. Bring your roller!
I guess it's time I sprang for some nutplate tools...
