Don't worry about the food, we would love to see Min at the rally. Give her a nudge for us.

Hey everyone...we are here! We left Tucson about 10:45 AM and got here about 4:30 PM...up through Apache Junction through Florence (the back door to Phx)...then 60 west to the 101 Loop to pick up I-17 north of Phx...love bypassing the frenzy of Phx that way. There was only a little road construction just north of Phx, nothing dramatic and we saw no construction in the I-17 to I-40 transition... Went through 3 nice rain storms on the way up...

We are the first here, it looks like, a lonely little Bambi amid a bunch of SOBs...we have a nice couple of neighbors in a big ol' 5th wheel toy hauler with a Mini Cooper in it (!)... They think our AS is such a cute little thang...we told them they'd be surrounded by Airstreams this weekend. It was in the high 70s today and they said it was 40 degrees last night...at 10:25 pm it's plenty chilly out...glad we brought the down comforter! Love the cool weather.

Drove into town (about 5 minutes) this evening...a nice little place with lots of interesting-looking places to explore... We are taking the Train to the Grand Canyon tomorrow...up in the AM and back in the late afternoon... Cheapest gas is $3.79.

We plan to make guacamole with chips and salsa for happy hour, at least one day...it will go great with the margaritas and martinis!

Looking froward to some AS company! Travel safely... but hurry!!

You went right by my house and didn't stop . We live just south of the 101 a couple of miles east of I-17. We will be in Williams Friday afternoon, see you then.

Leave the light on for us, we are planning to leave this afternoon around 5 or so. Unfortunately work gets in the way of fun sometimes, Sergio has a meeting late in the day.

Gads, I wish we could join you! Alas, no park-sitters this time around! And the place is going to be chock-full of big, fiberglass, white-sided things. Ugh!

You are right next to us in site #35, right? There is a 5th wheel in there at the moment, but we've been told they are moving to a different site tomorrow. We'll be happy to have you as new neighbors! Drive safe...

Jimmini...site #24 is occupied presently, but they are leaving tomorrow... However, there seems to be quite a number of other sites that are open at the moment, so perhaps if you get here before they check out they can put you in a different site? You drive safe, too!

Update

Got back from the Grand Canyon late this afternoon (very long day) to find we'd been joined by some more Airstreams! Yea! JulianneJ is here in #4...Mike & Sherri (sp?) are here in #36...we think it's MYoung (Mike & Rosemary) in #23...we haven't been able to say "hey' to them yet...and then LHall (Louis & Sergio) pulled into #46 around 8:30 I think...so we are growing!

Talking

I HATE being on the sidelines...If someone would adopt us and give us a gas credit card, I wouldn't whine so loud......We'd just show up...

We'll miss missing this one...ya'll tip a couple for us, and try not to be too disparaging about my TTQ role...

Whew. Now I don't feel nearly so bad about not being there. We are "enjoying" the rain part here and have been for the last week. As Scrap says - geez, that's a hard name to shorten without it sounding like he's gonna come kick the crap out of someone with his tiara - have several drinks in memory of those who just can't make it this weekend.
