28th Hobo Rally

I see no mention of the Hobo rally in Blythe CA in Feb 09 on the forum, but it's listed in the Blue Beret. Is this still happening? I would be interested in hearing from folks who have attended in the past as Im trying to plan my early 2009 Airstream activities. Thanks- Jot

Thanks for the info- we just joined WBCCI as at large members and this seems to be the first "local" event of the year for us.

The Hobo Rally is fun. Take your "hobo" duds, and a tin can in which to eat the "hobo stew". No tin can, no stew. Decorate your tin can and enter it in the contest. Start growing a beard on January 1st, and enter the "best beard" contest.

Water and limited electric. Gray water on the ground, dump located in the fairgrounds.

Don't know if it still happens, but the last time we went, there was a Blue Grass festival at the fairgrounds the week before.

Its still going on. You need to go just to see San Diego's Big Pink Flamingo on parade day. Stop by and say. I'll be getting there Thursday morning. Dan

We are looking forward to it! We have our flamingoes and our gal is working well. We are on our maiden voyage, now in Carmel Valley, and a few mishaps but broken window will be fixed Monday. TG for duct tape. Never leave home without it!
