I've attended the Florida State Rally as a day visitor for the past 2 years. Just seeing all of the other Airstreamr's in attendance is truly enough for me.
BUT, you have to realize, now instead of just yourself, you've got over 300 others who suffer from the same thing as yourself, Aluminitis!
Weather prevented most from being outside this year, but last year, if you stopped for a moment at anyone's trailer or motorhome, you were invited over for a chat, and most times a tour of their Airstream.
Young, not quite so young and anyone in between truly felt welcome. Don't think I've said 'Hello' to so many folks in a matter of minutes.
Special thanks to "Jack" from east coast of Florida for allowing me to view your 350LE. And a great big thanks to Richard and Robin Raveson. Anyone who ever has the chance to meet this special couple, should do so!
Thanks, Derek

Yes, I enjoyed also meeting fellow Airstreamers. I learned quite a few things and shared some tidbits as well. The vintage open house was great as was the banquet and the Trailer Park Troubadours. Being my first ever camp with others, rally or event, I was overtaken by the help of people. There were things that could improve, naturally, but they also plan to make some big changes in offerings as Alumaflamingo. I appreciate Airstream's seminars and also Bates RV for bringing a slew of new and used Airstreams to look at too.

I think Vic Smith and his assistants did a great job of trying to move this rally into today's world.
I also think the increase in attendance though only about 5% means more than it would appear as it probably offset what would have been another drop in attendance.

The decision to disband the rally in the future was inevitable since no one wanted to take on the huge responsibility of running the rally and that
is completely understandable ( except for the IRS part).

Unfortunately we are now down to one big WBCCI rally, the International, and if the numbers I hear for preregistration are anywhere near right that one will be gone in a few more years also.

Any way, thanks Vic for a job well done.
