I sent a check in yesterday but found out our bank did not get a deposit we had sent in last month. Sent another today but it won't take effect until the 9th of January so please wait until then to deposit our check.

Thanks

We will be on the road to the Can Opener and a FL Unit Rally from the 5th to the 16th, so it won't be a problem holding it until then. Did you attach a note so I will remember when I see it?

No, didn't know there was a problem until after I mailed it.

Happy New Year and Greetings from the beautiful U.P. of Michigan to all you Streamers ! We just had 6 inches of snow over night. We should have been on our way to the Canopener....but due to illness we will miss that one. But we did have our registration
post marked on DEC 31 for this Rally. Cant wait to get on the road! Our 16ft Bambi is safe and warm in heated storage in Chicago. This will be our 1st rally any tips on routes from Chicago in February?

Hi Ed,

Find as snowless a route possible and get to the South as fast as you can. Duh! I've haven't traveled in the North in winter since I left Michigan in 1965. You might try posting over in the Canopener thread as a lot of folks are making that trip too like you had planned.

Any more thoughts on a forums gathering?

Hi Ed,
You will probably go S. on 75.
We are near Syracuse, NY ....snow here. Our 22' Sport is already near Phila. So hope we avoid snow trailering. We will take 81, 64 & 95.
Anyone going S. welcome to spend night beside our garage or in our drive.
We are in Cazenovia, NY, but not on route S. from Chicago, we would be way out of your way.
Best....Robbie #3999

Yes, generators are allowed. There is a special parking area for those who want to run their generators. You need to tell them at the gate that you want generator parking.

Haven't had the time to think about it. Anyone could take this on. Just post a message here, and on the bulletin board at the rally. If you set it up they will come.

Parking

Hi John,

It's a large area and would park over 500 trailers. There are areas reserved for the rally staff and committee chairs. There are areas reserved for vintage parking, vendors, handicapped, and those who want to run generators.

For everyone else it's first come first served for the next available slot. They try to work the parking so no one has to back in, just pull forward and stop on the marks. If you are coming in a group that wants to park together, arrive with that group (have everyone wait somewhere until your all together), then you will all be parked together.

If you arrive late (the parking crew quits at 4:00) there will be a phone number posted at the gate. Call that number and someone will come and take you to your parking place. If you arrive very late, after everyone has gone to bed, you'll be safe out in the "bull pen" until morning.

Randy
