I still plan on being there. GT may not be ready to roll. So a tent may be my digs. OK? Have yet to see the registration docs. Can I still come? (1 female, 1 canine, spouse is opting out )

Hey Ken,
I think we're going to attend this Rally after all! With the recent purchase of a '58 Overlander, this Rally is a must! However, because of my job, we are thinking about flying out rather than taking the trip (and time) to pull our Airstream. Are there any cabins at the RV Park? We noticed that there are some hotels nearby if not.
Sign me up!

Melody, there will be a number of us in the same condition. No Worries!
MelloMike, see post 49 this thread. A number of good possibilities.

I'm just trying to get my walls back in before the rally. This is no "Maxwell" or "Birdy" but it will suit me until some future date for a total overhaul in order to last me the next 49 years.
See you all soon.

Ken, can I register on site upon arrival? Have to find a sleeping place first. I'm assuming evenings are too warm for truck or tent camping?

Judy and Bill - I had just asked Vicki today if she had heard from you - I think she's ok with tent camping but best to ask her - pm me with your e-mail address and I'll send you the sign up sheet
Kenn - best to e-mail me with your adddress and send the registration form - we have a fair amount of expense so I need to know who is coming - also you won't get the pre rally stuff we send out = nights are cool
Mike - when did you make your reservations - I did not see you on the list this morning from Vickie and did not see your name - not a problem though - I'm actually staying at Enchanted Trails this weekend....
We take any trailers in any condition - you will see some real works in progress as well as fully restored stuff - so don't worry about what you bring... !
At this point we are still taking reservations - however in going over the schedule this morning, you may be spread out a little more than the earlier reservations... we will fit in all we can...
We are still looking for compressors and lighting if anyone can help us there..
Ken J.

Hi Ken,
I just made my reservation a few hours ago. Is was for a pull-through space.
I have a large LP air compressor and a regular 110v extension light. Let me know if you need me to bring them.

Thanks, Ken. I got the form & will mail out with check first thing Tue. morning to your Tijeras address. (Correct?) I spoke to Marty about my tent at ET & I need to call back & speak with Vicki tomorrow. Is the 10th going to be a workshop day or just get there & settle in, day? In other words, how early should we arrive on the 10th?

Hi Ken,
Is there an itinerary for the events? Are there any events on the 10th?

We will be sending the schedule out in a few days - there are no major events scheduled for Thurs until about 6:00 when we all get together -
What is an LP compressor? Yes bring it and lights too if you can...
Judy - I talked to Vickie this morning and it sounds like she will make arrangements for tenters - but again make sure with her - she is really great and accomodates us as much as possible..

4cu004 Vintage Restoration Rally
Ken J:
We always have a halogen flood lamp on board the Silver Hornet, so we might can help with lighting. Looking forward to the rally with anticipation, so we'll bring lots of questions with some 310 Motorhome solutions for vintage.

Wish Levon would stop by here
Every day , in this heat, I wonder about this polish project. I will never have it ready for the trip to ABQ. I get encouragement when I see Levons' work....but I will never get to that point. Today is the hard part...the corrosion on the roof where the awning held moisture......and I am one handed after falling on the wheel rake yesterday. ABQ in one week...+/-

Help of a different kind
My 58 Buick, Flying Cloud tow vehicle, is down with a bad transmission. The only guy in the world who can fix it is in Southern California (Lancaster)..By any chance, is there some one who will be at the Rally with a pick up who can carry the transmission to the area? If I can get it to him he said he will deliver it back here....I have to get this beauty on the road.

I sent off for the sign up. Do I need to call and make a reservation at Enchanted Trails for full hookups?

TinDen packed and heading out.
Packed and prepped today for our launch this Friday. Wish the Safari was in tow condition, but no aft floor, no bed, no toilet...the list is long.
I packed an extra wide light for the late work teams if needed. A few extra tools and my fishing poles. Essentials.
Look forward to meeting many of ya, learning a few things and sharing our AS stories.
Here is a pic of our new frame, need a few forward windows now (9"x30") due to a glitch...don't ask.
We head out on the 4th, off to Heron Lake, and down via Santa Fe to the rally on the 9th is the plan.
Ya'll stream safe,

bw - yes you need to call Enchanted Trails - check with them, but I think all they have left at this point is water and electric - we will have a large group there - good news - lots of Airstream stuff - bad news - space is becoming limited.
elfire - have a great trip! Ya know we are still planning the food - so really good to hear you brought your fishing pole - we now have at least the meat portion of the menu covered...
