Ah, a fate worst than that - Jan in bunny slippers and pink flamingo fleece bathrobe, fueled by L&S's vodka martinis, knocking on the door at dark thirty informing you to turn that &#$%@(&$$ generator off. Sent a SOB Class A MOHO owner running to R&S the next morning for a QUIET generator.

Don't Park Us Next to Jan
I don't know who Jan is ... we have a Yamaha generator ... but regardless ... make sure we're not parked next to Jan. Because if our generator bothers her she's going to need some good tools to get rid of ours.
By the way ... does Jan know she is being discussed on here?

I'm not telling her.
She was the hero 2 years ago when she quieted the SOB contractor generator next to our area. She's also a terrific wife...

Ok, when I arrive I'm going looking for Jan the very first thing ... I think we will come bearing gifts from Texas for Jan to be on her good side.

Good thinking...
I have had great success using that same strategy for the past 27 years.

Hi, Jan is a wonderful, kind, person, and you can see that we all made friends right away. Sure glad I brought my brand new Yamaha 2400 with me.

No worries... Jan is great... we will be bringing some liquid courage just in case though. You never know, there could be a nice commission this year from the guys at Honda. I think that was the loudest generator I have ever heard. Viva la Jan!

So will my Honda EU2000i be quiet enough for Jan?
Seriously, this is going to be a great rally. I'll be covering the entire event for Airstream Life Magazine.
So, Ken, what's the final count on how many Airstreams are going to be at this event?

Waaahhhh! I wish we could come - here it is last minute & I want to be joining you all so much, which we could except for one minor detail...we sold our tow vehicle last week and we get the "new" one on the 3rd. No Tow = No Go!
Have fun & travel safe everybody!

Well, I thought of that, but we are also taking delivery of the "new" tow (from FL) on the 2nd/3rd...right dab-smack in the middle of the rally.

I'm wondering what I should do for water. Is there a place nearby where I can fill up my 50 gallon water tank? Or should I just rely on the water delivery truck service there?

There is a water truck that comes around, but I bet we can find a place for water. We have our 40gal tote as well.... I can tell you the secret place to take care of your gray water if you have a tote.

Hi Louis,
Agree, there should be plenty of places to refill our portable water tanks. The "secret" place to dump gray water sounds good to me. I'll be bringing my blue tote for that.

Bunny slippers notwithstanding, it seems like another vodka martini or two would be the cure for being aggravated by someone else's generator...

Haven't Met Jan - But Anxious To
Well Jan sounds like she is going to be great.
I've spent the last couple of days thinking of nicknames ... "Gen Jan", "General Jan", "Generator Jan", hmmmm, the possibilities are endless ... and once we mix the Martinies ... oh man, it's going to get really fun.
All I know is that we're making Jan our best friend for the duration.
