2009 Mardi Gras Rally Photos

Ann & I recently had the pleasure of attending the first post Katrina WBCCI Mardi Gras Rally in New Orleans. There were 47 trailers attending, with 21 states and one province represented.

Lonnie & Vince Saltaformaggio, our hosts, really outdid themselves in planning this rally!

We saw 10 complete New Orleans parades in reserved seating, the World War II Museum, Mardi Gras World (where they make many of the floats), had a lunch prepared in front of us by the New Orleans School of Cooking and had a ride on a steam powered paddle wheeler on the Mississippi River.

We had busses to take us everywhere, so we didn't have to deal with traffic and parking.

And to top things off, we had our own Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball with music, dancing, drinks and a meal prepared by Vince.

Vince & Lonnie are already planning the 2010 Mardi Gras Rally for next February. We highly reccomend that you make plans to attend, even if you have been to the rally in the past!

Met Lonnie and Vince at the TX Rally....great folks. Wish I had the time to attend the rally but had so much other stuff going on.

Thanks for sharing Dave. I took my first trip to New Orleans on business last August. I loved it and would really like to return for Mardi Gras.

As I stated in my original post, Vince & Lonnie are already thinking about the 2010 Mardi Gras Rally. So keep a look out in the Blue Beret, the mailing lists and Air Forums for further details!

Anyone at the Texas Vintage Rally that ate the fine Jambalya, Sausage and Beans knew that Vin and Lonnie were going to have a wonderfaul MG rally.

Vince and I had a wonderful time hosting the 2009 National Mardi Gras Rally! Everyone had a great time. We were blessed with wonderful weather and a really great group of WBCCI members! Mark your calanders for 2010! The dates are Feb 11-17, 2010> More info to follow! Lonnie

Vince and I had a wonderful time hosting the 2009 National Mardi Gras Rally. We were so happy to be able to bring the rally back. I think everyone that attended had a wonderful time...we sure did. We were very lucky to have fantastic weather and a great group of WBCCI members attending. What fun folks!! Mark your calander for next year..the rally will be Feb 11-17, 2010. We hope to fill it up again!
