Other than the International, this is the the biggest gathering of Airstreams in the country. The Rally dates are February 17 - 22, 2008. Here are links to some (maybe all) of the threads discussing the 2008 rally:
This year's rally should be even better. We have a new rally director and he's been taking lots of feedback on what worked and what didn't in the past. We're trying to make sure that even if you can only come for the weekend it will be worth the trip.
I'm the registrar for this rally in 2009, so I look forward to hearing from you. See the Rally Calendar for more information.

The people are great, it's just the activities are dated, vendors limited entertainment well let's just say dated again.
The dinner is like being in the army.
All this for a fair amount of $$....???
Bob,
I can agree with some of what you said, and we have been working with the Director to change it up this year. Here's the info from the Blue Beret article:

Big plans are under way for a great Florida State Rally. As the new rally director, I have made some interesting changes to the rally schedule. “We are having a party” is our rally theme. Come join us at the second largest WBCCI rally. We look forward to seeing you.
The opening ceremony has been changed from Wednesday morning to Tuesday evening, effectively adding an extra day. The ceremony will be all new, with an added highlight. We have added new and more seminars on Saturday including a fashion show and a seminar by the “Health Chic”. This will give members that are still working and can only attend for the weekend, something to enjoy.
During the week, you can try the great Sarasota Amish Restaurants. There will be donuts and coffee in the mornings. Going on tours, playing organized games and attending seminars, can fill the rest of the days. There will also be a large assortment of vendors.
The Saturday dinner has been changed from barbeque, to roast beef with sweet potato casserole, salad, green beans, ice tea and a cookie. Your Saturday morning will start with a huge flea market. You can purchase anything from antiques to Airstream parts. There is usually something you need at the flea market at great prices. On Saturday afternoon, we will hold the Vintage Airstream open house. It is always fun to see how shiny the trailers can be on the outside and then see unique remodeled insides. Owners of vintage units put hundreds of hours into their Airstreams.
Consider that you will be visiting one of the most popular resort cities in Florida at the height of the season for the low cost of $170.00 based on two people per unit for nearly a week. You will have rally electric and water. Numerous dump stations are on site for when you leave. The rally fee includes professional entertainment nightly, bingo, and games, including joker, bridge and pinochle. There will be tours, seminars, a hobby show and a fashion show.
Sarasota is famous for it’s beaches, shopping, museums and Amish restaurants. We have tried our best to give you a rally that is one of the best deals for the money. Hope to see you in Sarasota in February. Every year, we will endeavor to add new and interesting activities and seminars.
We're also going to try to update the entertainment as well. I'm on the auditions committee, so this will be interesting.

The rally sounds like so much fun, I can't make it this year, but next year sure hope to. Hope everyone has a great time, can't wait to hear about it! Your SS cousin.
Yesterday, my DH and I did the Sarasota Half Marathon and on our way home we saw the streams lining up for the rally. I always wondered how they got everyone in there so nice and tidy.. now I know. I took some pics and put them in my member gallery and thought could put them here but I have more to learn.
