Yes! I remember you - in fact I PM'ed you and never heard back - anyway, if you could PM me with your e-mail address, I'll get a sign up form to you right away - I'll need to get your fiesta fee pretty quick as I'm about to send in the final payment to the balloon folks..
I'm surprised that there isn't more chatter about the rally. I know I am pretty excited. I'm flying mom in so she can see it, and then we are going to do a few days poking around the state. She wants to catch the hot springs up the Jemez Canyon, and we might go ride the Cumbres and Toltec- anyone have experience with the train? Anyway, I am really looking forward to this.

If anyone is interested in the 1st Annual Estancia Pumkin Chunkin Rally 10/16 after the Balloon Fiesta. Estancia is about an hour from Abq. and an hour from Santa Fe.
The cost will be $25/ person. I need to start collecting funds and firming up plans. So far I only have a couple of RSVPs. For more info see the rally section or the 4CU forum, or send me a PM.

I finally got my act together and made our reservation. I think we got the last 30 Amp full hook-up pull-through. I also noted that we were with the Airstream group.

Rodney - although we haven't ridden the C & T yet it's high on our list of things we want to do. We've seen the station in Chama a couple of times. Chama is a really cool little town and is worth spending some time in.
Ken; I just made our reservation at the Grants KOA for Oct 1, 2009. I asked to be with/near the Airstream group. I did it all on-line and have no idea how many Airstreams will be there. Do you know how many are expected at Grants?
We will be at Grant's KOA on 1 Oct and so will Silverback, Searcher, azflycaster, Motoman, Charlie M, and caadoptees...that's 7 for sure, and I bet there are others who haven't chimed in! What fun! It will be great to meet everyone and see old friends...

We Rode the Cumbres and Toltec a couple years ago. We loved it. Make a day of it and take the whole trip. We stayed at a nice RV park a few miles west of Antonito. Drove to the depot and caught the train the next morning. We rode the train to Chama and took the Bus back. We got back around dinner time. It is a very scenic ride with varied terrain. I would rate it above the Durango-Silverton, but they are both very worthwhile. I would definitely recommend not missing it.

Ken
