Nice pictures, looks like you got a new camera.

More balloon fiesta

We had a great time at the balloon fiesta rally. We moved to the KOA on Tues. in order to spend more time in Albuquerque with friends. We ended up going back to the fiesta Thur. night for the Special Shape Glow. it was really great! Pics of the pot luck as requested and also the "Glow" on Thur night.

Jan and I are still in Fort Collins at the Region Rally. It's 22 degrees right now and snowing. We will be headed out on Sunday or Monday. Hopefully the weather will break by then.

We are looking at options now. We would like to take 70 across for a while, we are looking at the weather.

BTW, this is what we woke up to this am.

Richard:

Has it melted yet?? Wait 5 minutes and the weather will change.

Good chance with that much snow in Loveland/Ft. Collins, I70 will be worse.

We are in Show Low with Terry/Greg; Louis/Sergio and Mark/Ron. Little windy with overcast but nice.

See you at Quartzsite.

It's still here. Warmed up to 28 today. It should all be gone tomorrow, and so will we.

Headed home!

We are settled in for the night in Grand Junction, CO. We deided that I-70 was the best way out of town and it was a great ride. It's 70 degrees and I don't see any snow.

Cool! If you have an hour or two extra, take a drive up over Colorado National Monument, just outside of town.

We made it to Deadhorse today, ready for DH4. It looks a lot different here in Utah then it does in AZ!

We pull into the campground and there is a 34 foot Airstream parked across from us. It looks very familiar. It's Duane and his family who were at Angel Fire with us a few days ago. It's a small world!

We will be headed south toward the Navajo Reservation today. Deadhorse in Utah was worth the stop. We also went over to Canyonland National Park yesterday.

We are at the Cadillac Ranch RV Park in Bluff, Utah. It's a cute little park and the town is quaint. Tomorrow will take us across the Navajo Reservation and in to Flagstaff. We are almost home.

Cool! We've stayed at Cadillac Ranch several times. If it's not too late, go down to the Twins Rocks cafe and have a Navajo Taco!

Lynn,
We went to the Cottonwood Steak House tonight and had a great meal.

Tomorrow will be shopping at the roadside stands as we head to Flagstaff.

They're not too shabby, either! But we keep on finding ourselves back at Twin Bluffs. (I think it's the Navajo Tacos. We're both addicts.)

Lemme see now. If you're heading south to hit Hwy 160 through Kayenta, keep on going west. You'll do some mild climbing, and pretty much at the top you'll see the Tsegi Inn. Their little restaurant makes some tasty Indian bread. Their tacos sounded pretty sharp, too, but we were too early for those when we were there.

If you make Tuba City for lunch, turn up on Main Street. Go a few blocks. You'll see the Tuba City Trading Post on your left. To the right of the trading post is a pretty good restaurant. Last we were there, there was a large, empty lot across the street that had plenty of room for the Airstream. Eat!

But if you up really early and make it beyond Tuba City and turn south on Hwy 89, stop at the Cameron Trading Post. Room for RVs to park. Good trading post, lots to peruse. Good restaurant. Big Navajo tacos!

Lynn

PS: You'd think I'm really addicted to Navajo tacos. Not really. I'm really addicted to Sonic burgers. But there are no Sonics in Arizona along Hwy 160 or on Hwy 89 south of Page. There is, however, a new Sonic place in Page, just in case you're a fellow addict.

The trip is almost over. Are we the only ones who have not returned home from the Balloon Fiesta? We are in Flagstaff and a little over 2 hours from the end of our journey.

Some pictures from along todays drive. We found this little guy on our roof when we got set up this afternoon.
