we left the national forest campground in West Yellowstone at 6 AM yesterday, in hopes of getting to Bozeman prior to a lot of people...and early enough...
After a tire blowout on our tow vehicule, we had to get two new front tires.... we made it at around 3 PM....LOL....
So here we are, in the "Purple area" wondering what 's next... Yesterday we were not told that registration closed at 4 PM... so we missed that... (guess we'll go in early today!)
If anyone wants to stop by and say hello... you can't miss us: Airstream 345 LE motorhome, with a Yellow Beetle in tow.
Will keep you guys updated as to what we think etc...
I've only been there once (beautiful, isn't it?!!), but if you've ever read "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance", drive through the campus there and see if you can picture yourself in Pirsig's book.

Liz and Chris.
Hi Liz and Chris,
Sorry to hear about your car troubles. We are in Blue 1 Row 4. Those of us that are here have been posting updates on this thread: Air Members going to Bozeman just to keep everything together. Be sure to join us for the happy hour.

I hope that you have a great time in Bozeman. I have been following your blog and I admire your desire to see the USA. I am so glad that you can finance your travels. I have a 83 turbodeisel 300 classic motor home and I would love to make a trip simular to the one you are taking.
Don't let a few wrinkles and a head of white hair turn you off to some great folks. I raised 3 kids (50's) 2 grandkids (30's) and am helping with 4 teenagers, a 4 yr and 18 mo. great grand kids. I feel like I can visit with folks of all ages. I don't need to talk about the good old days nor my aches. I feel great and embrace life. I think that you will find that most of the people at the rally are a fun group.
You have something in common with everyone there. An Airstream.

THANKS, We just added many posts, dating back almost two weeks...with updates and pics of the rally as well... check it out and feel free to comment
Beautiful photos! We love the areas you are traveling through; your pictures make us almost feel we are back there. The Tetons look very snowy, snowier than we've seen in our summer travels. I guess this winter's snows are still hanging on in the high places. Enjoy the rally and thanks for your blog postings. ~G

WDCU. . .MALs no longer! What's a few miles among Airstream friends?
When these two finally surface, the first thing that they're going to have to tell you is that they just couldn't keep up with all the old folks in the WBCCI. I distinctly remember Chris and Liz having to leave Micheal's gathering long before it was over. We took them to their (intake) limit, only we kept on going.
It was a pleasure to meet both of you, Chris and Liz. I hope the rest of your rally was at least as good as ArtStream's forum reception. We finished up at Micheal's right about midnight, and a few of us went exploring downtown Bozeman the very next night, well past midnight! I left you a voice mail, but never heard back. Assuming that you found another great adventure. Party on...
Great to meet you guys at the rally. The event was a great location! We were lucky to be on the grass three rigs away from you. Hope you look us up when you come through Portland.
We're out of there. We decided to leave on July fourth. Our Unit and Region had nothing going on, and it was supposed to get hot. We didn't want to sit on the dusty parking lot and wait in the heat for a closing ceremony we don't have any part in. We heard it went to 102 degrees F on the fourth.
We're in Great Falls, MT now and continuing our trip.
See everyone at the next rally.
Randy
