OK, cool, we are looking to hook up with a vintage caravan with our Bambi II. Wayne and Linda don't live far from us either so that could work.

I'm willing to help

I can see that too, I am willing to help with one leaving from the "Shenandoah Valley" in Virginia, around the I-81/I-66, Rt. 29 area of Virginia. I could see going down I-81 south, I-77 south, I-85 south route or roads than run parallel knowing this could/would make for a longer ride. In Virgina, Rt. 11 runs along side I-81 most of the way. Rt. 29 (VA) south is also good road and can be used all the way to Greensboro, NC at I-85. Or, at Greensboro, NC take the I-73/74, Rt. 220, Rt. 1 down through Cheraw, SC, over to I-20. I think most people with a "Vintage Puller" can do about six hours in a day, maybe eight at the most. So, if your talking "Vintage Pullers" taking some scenic roads, I think your looking at a three day trip. New pullers, with Vintage or new rigs, on Interstates, two days max. We may want to start a new thread for this subject/

well c'bus

the rumor has been there are 600+ full hook up sites...for early sign'er up'ers....

the application and fee structure for the rally has no item for full hook ups, like it does for 30amp electric or # of paying heads and so on...one would think that IF sewer hook ups were available there may be a fee...perhaps not....

the bb article on the 50th says "over 1000 electrical sites with water., there are also a great number of 3 point hookups for long staying workers"

that is the only offical word i can find....

from this years experience i can tell you there were over 600 'early workers'...me included. so even if 600 potty sites exist...they will be gone before general arrival or the vintage pony show...

perhaps someone offical will chime it...

cheers

Here is a link to the site of the rally. It is a state funded facility and home of the Georgial National Fair. It is very clean with nice facilities and well run. Wonderlodge has their rally there every year, which is quite a sight. It is located right on I-75.
As for the bugs, I live 15 miles to the north and I say mosquitos yes, gnats not so much. However this facility hosts quite a few horse and cattle events, so the do have their share of horse flies.

Dave-O Thanks,
Have seen that site 3 weeks ago, when I was canvassing the area for a rendevous point for us westerners. We haven't decided if we are going. We are vacillating between taking a one of our trailers or our s.o.b. coach, and staying down the road from the "Agri-Plex." Decisions, decisions!

I was trying to find the schedule for the 2006 International so I could look at what goes on at an International Rally since I've never been to one. Does anyone know if it's still online anywhere? I can't find it.

Mostly I'm interested in looking up what's in for the kids. If anyone has any information about the activities for the 18-and-under crowd at the 2006 International, I'd appreciate the info.

The link for the 2006 schedule was online prior to the rally but the link is now being used to advertise the 2007 rally. You might want to catch up with myboyburt, who attended International this year, as she may still have a copy of the schedule.

Gray water is allowed on the ground

I just received confirmation from International that Georgia is one of a few states that still allow campers to trickle gray water on the ground. This activity will be allowed during the International rally.

Talking Good ole Perry, Ga

I grew up in Perry. I lived there from 1970 until 1985. They are right about the knats! When we moved there, we couldnt get over how friendly everyone was, until we realized they were "fanning" knats!!!
