Nice photos...thanks for sharing. What is the story with the waterfront property? Is that run off let over from the rains or was the site on a lake???
Could be just gray water run off. Hummmm I wonder...

Glad Lawrence Welk did not make the show this year. Thats great news!! The Lennon sisters are getting alittle long in the tooth..LOL.. Maybe its a small step in the right direction for the WBCCI. I think with the MOHO issue and the name change last year. lots of eyes have opened as to what we need most. Younger members with younger ideas. I have heard alot of people say there is nothing for the children to do at the events. REMEMBER these children are our clubs future. If the kids are not happy, mom and dad are not coming back!!!! Lets put our energy in that direction instead of these money and time waisting votes!!!

And remember, as just a small (but growing!) part of the WBCCI, the Vintage Club has a GREAT time together at these rallies...a little more social collection of folks who tend to have a higher proportion of younger members (both by age and how they feel). We have a really good time. Because we park together, it's a little easier to get to know your neighbors. We have happy hour every afternoon (on into the evening...) and a good time seems to be had by one and all. The Vintage members are also very diverse. So don't think you have to fit a certain mold in order to fit in!!!
A couple of Vintage Happy Hour pics...
Followed by a couple of after hour pics.
*And 'yes' for those of you at the Moraine View Rally, we had a dulcimer player, too!
Great photos Dallas !! Your pics show what its all about my friend. Thanks for sharing with the rest of us. Ralph

I agree, we have a great group of people in the VAC. But, the "WBCCI" as a whole has a great group of people from different backgrounds as well. If you were at the International rally, the same type of pictures could have been taken almost anywhere. As I walked and drove around, I saw many people/groups doing the samething the VAC was doing. People getting together, enjoying each other, telling stories, gettings ideas for the club, region, unit, members and their trailers. You will find in the WBCCI, their are many that just want to hang out and have a good time. But, to be able to do that, someone has to step up, plan and host a rally or event. I've hosted unit rallies and a caravan, it can be some work. I could not even come close to understanding the work to host a rally for over 1,000 trailers, all needing water, electric, etc... planning things I think they would enjoy, parking all the units quickly, getting them hooked up, signed in, etc... It takes a bunch of work to have fun for that many people.
We are "ALL" a great group of people no matter how old or young, VAC, no VAC. I had the chance to sit down and speak to many memebers that had been in the club for over 30-40-50 years. The stories that they told were great. I think what many of us forget is "WE PLAY VINTAGE", "THEY LIVED VINTAGE".

Paul, I too, think your summation is spot on.
I was involved in setting up some 19 tours for the early workers, those who make the event happen. It took my wife and I, along with 5 others, a total of 5 days to set them up, then another 7 days worth of 'administration' to make them happen, just to provide 'a little something to say thanks for their volunteer work'. These are the free tours of local businesses, manufacturing plants, etc.
Many folks enjoy what the volunteers do to make it happen, and it is a very large joy to see others enjoying what you've put together.
Come join the volunteers!

Have no intention of arriving at the grave safely, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, throttle in the other, totally worn out and screaming
"WOO HOO, WHAT A RIDE!"
Danielle and I have just returned from the rally. WOW! And I do mean WOW! We had a great time. As first timers, the event was sometimes overwhelming. I decided to attend as many seminars as possible not knowing when I might have the opportunity to attend another International. Sometimes Danielle and I divided and conquered to attend seminars being held simultaneously. We were so busy at the rally we had to return home to get some much needed rest.
The happy hours and impromptu dinners were lots of fun. There was so much going on that we could not take it all in. Even though this was not camping (in the sense of staying at a state park, etc.) it was many of the things we enjoy about camping plus some... Meeting the wide variety of people young and old, working, retired, nearly retired made for a great event.
We've attached some pictures from the rally. The indoor shots leave a little to be desired (guess we have to work on our flash technique).
See ya down the road!
Lucius & Danielle

The DJ party was great big surprise, no Lawrence Welk music
If the rallys had this type of entertainment instead of the old timers crap we would get more members
Time for a change
How about the STONES for Bozeman???? Lets see what we can do about that one.. I bet some of them would run for the hills. LET MICK & THE BOYS ROCK THE PLACE!!!
