21st Century RV Rally
During our brainstorming session (aka shootin' the breeze) last night somebody mentioned an RV rally that will be held in Perry, GA in March 2008. We discussed the pros/cons of WBCCI versus the manner that other organizations handle their rallys.
I know WBCCI is a volunteer organization. I know the club is (ahem) a little slow to adopt change. I'm a WBCCI supporter for a variety of reasons. However, and this is a big HOWEVER... look at the web site for The Rally to be held July 2007 in Redmond, Oregon (on the web site there is a link to The Rally to be held in March 2008 in Perry, GA). The web site for The Rally is everything I'd expect to see in the 21st century. What gives? How is The Rally possible (for $339) when we paid at least that amount for the 2007 WBCCI rally and the 2008 WBCCI rally will cost even more!

I suspect it's because of the Rally Sponsors. That would be my guess anyways. If it's some other reason it will be interesting to know. Is anyone going to this one?

I listen to it all. I love music as long as it's melodic and I can sing along to it. Guess we've kinda sideswiped this thread.....oops! But Country Western is where I learned to sing and play so it's near and dear, but it's good old rock and roll that got me through the sixties and seventies  .

Airstream sightings.
Sorry to change the subject...to a Whiter shade of another subject...but I enjoyed seeing a larger than usual number of Airstreams today. As I was patrolling the roads of White County GA I saw several traveling through. Top of Georgia AS Park in Helen, Ga is in White county. I met a few and they were coming from Perry.
Safe traveling folks and keep those aluminum beauties coming.
