Without too much comment (who'd want to compete with 2Air?), here's a few photos from the vintage section. I would be remiss if I didn't start with the vintagest vintage, 1935...
I met an Annapolis grad ('73) who had forgotten the honor code and proceeded to convince me he had towed his Airstream with his Mini... (insert large fish hook in cheek and tug)...
but his incredibly efficient boondocking was impressive. All systems are engineered for maximum boondocking efficiency--LED lights, no propane except for outside cooking and many others. He achieves something like 2 weeks out at a time. Maybe we will get a post on the real data at which my memory fails...
hi led
sorry we didn't meet in salem....
i'll be at the denver vintage rally in crede.....will you?
of course i'm not IN the rally,
but i'll be in the same campground that week,
so i can tour the vintage units and meet folks...
your pics are very nice....
in the first pic, right next to the '35.....
is bill kerfoots unit, which he towed with a 70s lincoln conti....
not all the vintage or unusual units were in the vintage section...
many were scattered throughtout the compound...
several nice argosys.....
some very nice classic mohos over on the asphalt..
a squarestream was west of the wb post office.....
a nicely and highly polished wide body....looked great....
and so on.....
some how the organizers.....
arranged for the tank flush troop,
to service the vintage section....
on the same day and at the same time,
as the vintage open house...
since the wind was pretty calm that day,
the flushing gave new meaning to the terms...
vintage and tankless....
as the breeze picked up,
i tried to arrange my touring,
to be up-wind....2air' only goes so far to look at airstreams!

Yes, you know I have Brent. Not sure about the horns and it doesn't really have to be all that shinny, but on Monday I find out how much it cost to repair the damage.
