Blue Beret Coupon

There should be a coupon in the next edition of the Blue Beret for anyone who may not have had a chance to get a registration form.

I believe that the event is close to being sold out. You may get lucky if you get it in soon. I hope to see you there.

SC State Rally

Hi,

I want to thank all of you have registered for the State Rally. It is like Christmas when I go to the mailbox and there are envelopes waiting for me to open.

There is some GREAT entertainment lined up, and the food, oh my gosh the food is going to be out of this world. You will think you are royalty.

Our featured entertainer is Brian Tiernan. Brian's extraordinary talents as a musician, vocalist, actor, and ventriloquist provide a truly unique, amazing, and unforgettable experience for any audience. He has worked with performers such as Sheena Easton, Ricky Van Shelton, and blues greats Johnny Winter and Otis Rush.

Looking forward to seeing more of you sending in registrations, we won't turn anyone away!!!

We have new and exciting events for you to participate in this year. Don't miss this HALLOWEEN EXTRAVAGANZA.

Contact me by email to register.

What's your secret?

Ken -- can you tell us how you can organize a rally that only costs $45/pp and includes four nights of camping, four breakfasts, three dinners, and professional entertainment? What is your secret?

Mucho Plano!

The camp fees are not included in the Rally fees.
The Rally fees covers all food, activities, entertainment and the cost of advertising.

Did I mention that kids under 18 are free?

Obviously, a good attendance is in order. There is security in numbers There is no wonder this event sells out!
It also takes many people who actually enjoy organizing this event.
And many sponsors that contribute in one way or another. Cash and or donated goods and door prizes of all kinds. Many of the sponsors are members of the WBCCI and this forum. These sponsors really make this event "over the top".
We also have a contingency fund that is generated over the year to cover any losses should they unexpectedly present themselves. (Hurricanes, spending overages etc..)

We have blind auctions and other events that generate proceeds that go towards this contingency fund.

We do not budget this contingency fund into the cost but it is there just in case. We carry it over from year to year.

The key to any success is active participation whether it be in an organized club or an unofficial gathering.

This event has been in planning and organizing literally since last years State Rally. The Joint Board is a committee made up of the officers and directors of the two units that sponsor the event. We meet at the Rally and lay out the outline for the next years event.

I admire the efforts put forth by the Forum members that plan and organize the "Forum Rallies" but I find myself thinking these folks are simply replicating a WBCCI rally to some degree. I understand that there is no formal activities at the Forum Rallies but if the formalities is not for you, simply do not participate, the WBCCI will not penalize you for lack of participation.

As always, I invite all to come and see what a success these events can be.

Thumbs up WOW! What a rally!!!

I just returned from the 2005 SC State Rally and it was fantastic!!! Thanks to Debbie White and all of her helpers for a really great time. The food was great, all catered, and I didn't have to cook all weekend! Our entertainment was very entertaining - with the highlight for me being a book signing with Bruce Littlefield, author of the new book Airstream Living. Bruce was absolutely wonderful and just wait until you see this book!!! Bruce stayed and spent the evening with us and I think was pretty inpressed with his first official Airstream Rally!!! The rally site was really nice and the weather was beautiful. And, I won the big money raffle prize!

It was great event and I want to thank those who put it on for all of their hard work! So...Thanks! It was tons of fun.
