Like John and Edie, I too will be giving a Seminar at International. At 1:00-2:00 p.m on Thursday, 6/30, I'll give a Power Point presentation on 1958-1968 Airstream trailer evolution and history that I gave at the 2005 Homecoming last week. If they can schedule it in, I'll give a second PP presentation on 1932-1957 Airstream trailer history and development that I put together since signing up for International.
In addition, I'll repeat both PP presentations informally during evenings in the Vintage Section at a time to be mutually determined. These informal presentations will be more discussion than lecture, as we'll have more time for dialogue among and observations from participants. International is, in large part, what we make it. Instead of idly complaining the WBCCI doesn't cater to my specific entertainment needs, I'll be bringing my passions to the party to share with others. A great way to learn something is to teach it.

I plan to bring forum member buttons, unless someone else on the forum has already made arrangements to do so.
Edie: Now that Andy is officially licensed, how about field testing a white AIR oval on a blue background for the Forum buttons at International? That LARGE TYPE geezer friendly design would be instantly recognizable at a distance and wouldn't require me to slap on my spectacles to read fine print to learn what the button says.

Ok Shari, count us in. We will be caravanning with others as you know, which will be nice just in case "Caddy" ('69 Cadillac) has some difficulties towing ,"Shack",( '67 Globetrotter). Leaviing for Missouri, 6/25, arriving 6/26, staying until the end.
See you in Springfield!!
I will also be at springfield parked adjacent to the airstream tent. WBCCI 1611. Look forward to seeing the forums crowd. Will be there from 6/20-7/5.
Visitors are welcome in the campground, at the airstream tent, dealer sales area, etc. You would need tickets to go into town and attend some of the scheduled events at the convention center. They may have visitor passes at the convention center, I don't know for sure.
We are leaving Vermont on June 24, but who knows when we will arrive! It's a LOOOOONG drive, 1400 miles plus minor detours for courtesy parking. With a child in the car and a possible stop in Jackson Center, I expect we won't arrive before June 28.
We'll stay until the end, July 4, or until our A/C conks out!

I think that's called a pay back for everybody having to come out your way a couple of years ago!
It'll even be worse for you next year in Salem, OR, can't get much further away from Vermont!
See you there!

If all goes as currently planned, I will be there with my '78 Minuet 6.0 Metre and Cadillac towcar -- in fact, I should already be in East Saint Louis, IL for the beginning of the Wagon Wheels Caravan. Career obligations got in the way, and my departure has been delayed until either tomorrow or Monday.
My mechanic finally was able to give the Cadillac a clean "bill of health" for the trip so I am hoping that it will make its first extended trip with the Minuet this summer. The temperamental car did, however, manage to short out a brand new Custom Autosound stereo less than ten minutes after it was professionally installed.

I see in an article the Blue Beret (June issue) that we are being asked not to leak graywater on the ground at International, due to the risk of contaminating the caverns below. (See page 21, third column.)
Does anyone know if there will be any provision for vintage trailers to dump graywater anywhere nearby, or is this one of those "unfunded mandates" which leaves us to figure out how to exist for a week without showering?
Bob Herman (VAC prez) said in the May VAC newsletter that there will be a sewer access point for the dumping of blue boys in the VAC 3 amp section. The 3 amp section and the 30 amp section are separated by an electrical substation.
If you are coming to Missouri from the West or Northwest, please keep us in mind for an overnight stay. Just 20 minutes north of KC. Not hard to find. 42 acres of country peace and quiet..... unless you consider the nail gun at the son's building site, or the neighbor kid's newest "souped up" truck, or the tree frogs, crickets, and hoot owls.
Just email or pm your plans.
Have fun at Springfield....

From what I've seen...there are events planned all day on the 4th so if you want to stay through those, you would most likely stay the night of the 4th & leave on the 5th.
