For next time, you might check out Potters Creek COE Campground on Canyon Lake, about 60 miles north of San Antonio. They have one area set aside for rallies where you could pack in about 25 trailers in close proximity, the remainder could be within sight. It is one of the nicest kept campgrounds in the state and there's plenty to do in the area. It is a great place, $20 camping, $10 with Golden Age, and worthy of consideration in the future.

I think that next year's site is probably chosen, but we're looking at Potters Creek for a unit rally and, if it appears to be suitable, we may choose it for a vintage rally the following year.

Five Motor Homes (one vintage)
Three 345's, one 280, and a DIESEL PUSHER - impressive.
Here are pics of 3 of the 5 MoHos there.

Great Rally and it was nice to see all the tame deer that were walking all around the park.
Friday morning we woke up to 5 deer walking across the road close to our site. The deer didn't seem to mind us at all even with our excited 2 year old screeming. Each day I think we saw deer up close at least 2 times.
We also found little paw prints inside our outside cooler with a pouch of fruit juice removed and opened on the ground. (Smart Critters)
The weather was perfect also, we actually used our catalytic heater for the first time with the chilly nights and day time conditions were mild enough that we had the windows open for a cool breeze.
Thanks to all for the efforts of putting this together, we hope to attend the next one if possible.

Next year
Our unit will repeat the Vintage Rally next February; this time at Haven's Landing RV Resort in Montgomery, Texas. This resort is a bit more pricey, but it is a first class park with paved, full-hookup sites and nice meeting facilities. I have attended several rallies there.
Montgomery is close to I-45 and easily reached from Dallas/ Ft Worth, Houston, and Austin. We hope all this year's attendees will come again.
This may well be a yearly event for our unit.
