This is getting to be kind of complicated....
I wouldn't mind a visit near Jackson Center sometime in addition to something that we are already talking about.....and maybe it could be for a long weekend for some. Plus, I could get some of my issues addressed at the same time while out near Jackson Center.
Maybe it's time to just say one will be here on these days, anyone interested in going, great, here is the things you need to do to get on board. Then post info on the other one further out east and here are the days and this is the place, etc.
I can't speak about the one out east, but what Jack was talking about sounds good to me. Since the poll said June was the date, let's just call it and see where the chips fall. We can do the same with the one out east too.
Just a thought....
Eric

MIDWEST RALLY
If we were to find our A/S in time we would attend. Now, I know that's no help and sounds silly, but I respond to show our desire to participate. This is a great idea and I hope it flies. If we don't make the rally this year, there will be another in 2004.
For the record, we are located about 100 mi. north of Detroit.

P.S. Moraine View sounds nice - especially the full hook-ups.

I think what Apple 1 and I are thinking is doing a seperate rally from the Illinois location. It's unrealistic for people to attempt driving 400+ miles for a weekend, especially those of us that are tied down by a job. I'd like to meet all you folks out that direction, just might have to wait for the opportunity. I hope you guys do get a great turnout in Illinois.

Jason,
Just make sure you post what you and Apple1 are going to do. Like I said, if it is going to be near Jackson Center, I could get two birds with one stone!
I've been saving vacation days for years, so even if most had to leave after the weekend, I could stay a few extra days for whatever.
Regards,
Eric

Yep, I can concur. I'm in the same boat so I can appreciate the distance situation for a weekend only. That's why multiple rallys probably will be best. Maybe seeing how this these first attempts go, we might consider doing a week sometime in the future.

I agree with you, see if these actually take off, then hopefully they'll grow. It sounds like the interest is there, just a matter of getting the ball rolling.

Well shall we bite the bullet and set the date? Eric could you make one last check for Gander Bay and see which weekend date has the most openings at this point? Either the June 6-8 or June 13-15. At that point we can nail this down and folks can start making their reservations. Obviously those who want to come earlier or stay later can book accordingly.
