Western Women Silver Sisters 2010 Spring Rally
Hey Ho Silver Sisters~ Time to start planning our Spring Rally in California for March 2010! Last year's rally at Pismo Coast Village was so much fun I personally can't wait to see all of you again.
Let's start this discussion and get something on the books. Do we want to do to Pismo again? Does the first weekend in March work for everyone?
Please let me know what your thoughts are and I will get the silver ball rolling!
Two suggestions for change of location:
Wine Country RV Resort- Paso Robles http://winecountryrvresort.com/
Flying Flags RV Park- Buellton http://www.campingfriend.com/FlyingF...ile=Facilities

Paso Robles
The weekend of March 19-21 is the 18th Annual Zinfandel Festival in Paso Robels. Red Zin is my favorite! Too early to start packing the traila?

Bummer! I called Wine Country RV Resort and they dont take group reservations for that weekend because of the Zinfandel Wine Fest, they only have a few spots left.

Ladies,
I miss this rally so much.... The closer to Montana you are the easier it will be for me. Spring break for me is March 29th to April 2nd. That includes two weekends. The rally would have to be mid or late weekdays for me to attend. So if it works out let me know.

Another option
I called the other Rv Park in Paso Robles ~ Paso Robles Rv Ranch ~ they do not have a website to check out but they do get good reviews on campgroundreviews.com. I spoke with Maggie and she said they can accomodate us for March 19-21, the cost would be $30 per night per rig which is much cheaper then the other park would have been.

As far as camping goes, Lake San Antonio is near Paso Robles
and has plenty of sites for all.
There are hookups and pull throughs and everyone can reserve their own.
We had a forums rally there a few years ago and it worked out great.
If I remember correctly, it's first come first served.
And there is a lake...

Lake San Antonio
Debra, so sorry to hear about your dad. I lost my dad not too long ago also. My heart goes out to you. I do hope you can come next Spring. You are a VISS (very important silver sister)!
Regarding Lake San Antonio - great idea, Laurel! I have enjoyed every minute of the rallies that I have attended at Lake San Antonio. It's a nice spot with lots of big oak trees and some great campsites where we can circle the wagons nice and tight. But if we camp there, bring your leveling blocks because it's not a level area (I learned the hard way - thank goodness someone had some spares and i didn't have to sleep sideways for three days.)
I can't remember the name of the area where we camped with NorCal, but it does have quite a few spots with full hookups (which I prefer so I don't have to tow my little gray water tank around looking for a spot to dump it .)
Also, if I remember correctly, there are some really beautiful smaller wineries nearby. And, the lake too. We can't go wrong!
Maybe some of us can arrive a day or so early to scare SOB intruders away so we have the whole hillside area to ourselves.
I just luv u guys,

I phoned Lake San Antinoio, there are several options. Ronando Vista A loop has 15 sites we can reserve as a group. The other two group areas we need at least 10 trailers to reserve spots, one has full hook ups the other electric & sewer, both are $26.00 per night, back in.

If it's easy to get a group site and no one has to put up any money in advance or do any extra work (egads we wouldn't want that )
that would be okay.
When we went as a group before, we didn't have a group site.
We just all showed up as we could get there and it seemed to work out fine.
Especially if we go off season (as in March ) we shouldn't have too much trouble getting sites together.
And that way we don't have to worry about how many people show up.
A few or forty...it's all good Silver Sistahs!
Deb you MUST come and bring Evie and Dana...and Meredith and Janet and Kristiana and Michelle and Cat and Paula and Virginia and Julianne and Martha and Sandra...and...and...everyone!!!
Woo hoo! Miss you all!

Redondo Vista Campground - loops A, B, C, & D
I went mining on the forums and found the thread from the last (?) NorCal rally at LSA. We camped on the South Shore in the Redondo Vista Campground in the full hookup loops (A, B, C, & D). First come, first serve, but there are lots of sites so, like Laurel said, even late comers can get a site.
Oh, and welcome lvRVing and Chapparel. We're so glad you'll be joining us this year. Our silver sister circle groweth .
Cheers,
