Hi Chicas,

Debra and Laurel, I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. I'm sending you lots of love your way.

Michelle, it's been to long since we've seen you...

Count me in for either weekend, I need my silver sister fix!

I'm excited to see you chiquitas and have new sisters join the group.

Meredith & Laurel, very nicely stated, loves it.

Love youz girls!

Kristiana

Rally date

Okay girls, so how's about the weekend of March 13, 2010?

Daylight savings time starts that weekend. I think that means we can shamelessly sleep in every morning and stay up later drinking margaritas, doesn't it? Oh wait, we'll be doing that anyway. Nevermind.

Where's Janet?

Any, by the way, where's Janet? We can't rally without Janet.

No missing out for me!

I do believe I've figured out a way to make this happen. How could I not take the chance to be around some of the dearest, funniest, strongest women I've ever met?
But in the meantime, my heart aches for those of you who've lost beloved parents so recently. Meredith, Laurel, and Debra, you are clearly cherished and exceptional daughters.
So about Lake San Antonio in March: Terry and I were there at exactly that time in 2007 and had it virtually to ourselves, with fabulous weather. Great choice!
Now back to the stove (sooo many points being racked up here...)

Okay, all is right in silver sister rallyland now. Janet is in da house!

Janet, I'm so glad you chimed in here because I just couldn't concentrate on cleaning my house and cooking for 16 people tomorrow thinking there was a chance you wouldn't be rallying. Whew!

Oops. Now I have no more reasons to procrastinate. Off to cluck over my bird...happy thanksgiving ladies!

Just back from a week of boondocking in Quartzsite, AZ for Thanksgiving with the 4 Corners Unit ~ Back to reality and detoxing the old liver ~ What a great time.

That weekend sounds like a winner and so does the location. Should we put it on the books? Make it a done deal?

I will be going early or staying late for anyone who wants to join me. May have to move on over to Paso Robles the following weekend for that Zinfendal Festival!

Just emerged from turkey coma

Pardon my absence from this thread, my turkey coma was extra gnarley this year .

Our T-day feast was so much fun; lots of family, funny kids, good wine, a BEAUTIFUL day...and the 23 lb herb-roasted turkey was my best yet [*patting myself on the back*].

So, yes, yes, YES - let's ink the date! And the place! I'm ready to jump on the silver wagon and get this party started.

Cheers,

Okay so next questions since I haven't been to Lake San Antonio: North Shore or South Shore? Which Campground area?

Redondo Vista Campground loops A, B, C, & D

I would opt for the South Shore as I believe it is the only side with hookups. Redondo Vista Campground, loops A, B, C, and/or D are lovely.

The north shore does have hookups as well (in parts) but is a little more remote.
I was there last weekend for a short trip and boondocked on the north shore.
It's so nice to pull right up next to the lake and be able to let the dogs free.
(Although technically the sign does say to use a leash )
Boondocking really isn't much different if only for a couple of days...but I'm open
to either one.

We have had a nice set up at the south shore too.

I'll post a couple of north shore photos from last week...
