What a bunch of characters!!!
Mz Lorita was hounded for glamour shots from the paparazzi right and left from the moment Mz Lorita appeared on the scene.
And who cruised by for a surprise visit but none other than Clint Eastwood himself complete with musical accompaniment from his movie the Good, Bad and the Ugly!

Guys at a Women's Rally....
There was a bit of fussin going on at the beginning.....but lets just see how it went with the guys along shall we....
They pretended to give directions on backing up like they really new what they were doing....
Who's idea was it to allow the fellas anyway - I gotta talk to that girl!
They slept waiting to jump at our beckoning call
They sat with the dogs - or is that dog sat....looking a little worried in any case - as soon as we donned the tattoos and bandanas
"What do you mean I have to stay and clean the tailer????"
They waited patiently to get at the food table
They gave Kayak lessons
They even chipped in with directions to the kayak lesson location
They fetched things
They huddled together for moral support..
....and that is not all

Characters..continued
As Carol pointed out there were a cast of characters at the Rally...
Peter Fonda thinking about trading his bike in for an Airstream after checking out Carol's AS
A real surprise was catching Al Pachino at the lagoon with his boxer
Quick with the camera saw a great opportunity and captured the famous Marmaduke out for a cruise down Airstream Drive!!
Peter fresh back from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame gets a surprise visit in the LadyBug by Sheryl Crow
Would not be a Women's Rally without a cameo appearance by none other than the Cat Woman.

The Main EVENT
One of the many highlights of the weekend - was The Main Event - for lack of a better title.....
But first the stage has to be set.....
Roger does some serious negotiating with Carol - to get permission to take Marylou's place and fandangle his raffle tickets...
Roger gets caught on camera telling Peter how he smooth talked his way into the "girly girl Raffle"
Holly Grabs Jason and sets up in the front row for the best viewing....
Papparatzis are called into place, from dainty women with big cameras to big men with little cameras to older men with high tech cameras....no shot would be missed.
The Raffle Items are set just so
The prize lady herself - also known as Miss Rivette is called upon to start the Drawing...

The Main Event begins...
Lucky Lou...gets the first drawing and as if she needs any help with her already fabulous cooking talents - selects Mom's Camp Cooking...
Carol really gives a whole new meaning to taking your time and selecting the perfect item...."hmmmm I really like the smell of this - it would go great on my dinning table, hmm well yes maybe yes.....
I would like to pick this one....
Steph is right into the rock and roll and could not resist the AM/FM radio no batteries required and the tunes were happening...
Diane - after a huge (okay semi huge surprise cause lets face it how many guys out there can really pull a surprise on us women - really - that we don't figure out before hand....selected the cool "girl talk" book - it is a great book!!
Holly draws the next ticket after pulling the great flash light - so that she can use it for Jason to figure out how to back in to his spot next time...whhhhaaat ya did not know we were all watching....time to hand over that wheel to Holly You Can Tow It!!
Hard to believe but yes I handed over the camera to the Man with the Recipe to take this one...the little spot light will come in handy for the potti breaks until the LadyBug is fully equipped.
Barb pulls in the nostalgia Radio to suit her so so cool decor in her 75 Ambassador - with bent wood rocker and foot stool little did she know that her second prize was a gynecological light and not a fire starter
Miss Rivette scores the super binocs - to scope out that future unsuspecting Mr Rivette whom we all know will be sporting either a Canadian Mounty Uniform or possibly a Fireman's Hat

Larry and I were the next to last to leave this morning....or was it afternoon??? I don't remember...but we did have brunch. Oh oh oh...another great meal! We has so much food! Larry and I arrived home safe and sound and were glad to hear that everyone else did too. Can't wait to see some more photos. It was so much fun. And we sure enjoyed meeting all of the new folks! Thanks everyone!!! Let's crank up and do it again soon! I bet Carol and Brad are feeling kind of lonely without the rest of us there tonight! LOL
We sure had a great lot of good photographers!!! Thanks for those shots!
