We have not had any problems with Glenn's cup of coffee  or my soda all the years we have been to Vernonia's campground. I'm sure this is for wild parties  and the only time I've seen a wild forum party there has been no alcohal or drugs , well maybe prescription  I think we will be OK

Always room for 1 more. Glenn's been wanting to play Vernonia so I'm sure he will bring his clubs. you can almost ford the creek to the course which means we can heckle the players as they putt  .
It will be fun to see your 81 since we also have a 27 ft. 81 excella.

Just got next week's calendar cleared of any/all doctor visits so I'll be arriving the afternoon of the 3rd and leaving on the 5th. A few more modifications to the Retro Pod and I'll be ready. I'll make a big pan of lasagne for the 3rd if someone will let me use their oven - the Pod is not fully equipped! Darol

It worked, now I'll tell you about the pictures. First 4 is general pics. The next is the group camp in the middle of the park. I'll call tomorrow to see if we can reserve. The last is the freshly pumped and sanitized (due to the storm in Dec.) out house, River was up to the roof!

Hello all,
Don and I plan on being there. I was working on the Bambi today!  We will be arriving with Darol on the 3rd.
Teresa thanks for posting the pics! I logged in just to see if I could find some! Yippie! From reading the posts, I take it there isn't any water at Vernonia? Or is it like Trout Lake where there is 1 faucet or so??? Anything else we need to know? Market's nearby? Etc.? Thanks!

Hi Claudia, glad to hear you're coming.
Vernonia is a very quaint small village with various shops and an adaquate grocery store;  Teresa can tell you more about the camp ground but I understood her to say we would be 'dry-camping' as we do at Troutlake.

Hi everybody....
Just talked with Teresa (BluePearl) and we thought it would be fun to do an All-American, old fashioned barbecue on Friday night; they will bring their barbecue, Loren and I will bring our small 'silver-stream' one, anyone else who has one, bring it and we will barbecue...... (BYOM).
I will bring chips and watermelon.
Stephanie, I hope this meets with your OK;  you know us, always thinking about food!
Darol, lasagna sounds great for Thursday supper; I'll make a salad.

Food.... ahhhhhhh
We will bring something to share for Thursday and Friday evening meals. Beings water will be "shortish" should we bring paper plates and such too? (Besides who wants to do dishes...)
Steph, does all of this work for you? Shall we "wing it" for the other evenings? We will likely stay until the madhouse is over... until Monday.
Teresa, if you have to fork out any $ or anything weird for saving spaces... we will reimburse you if we need to! Thanks for giving this a try! Are we going to be in individual spots or in the group camp? Or, is that yet to be determined?
