Edit to my previous post...................I meant to say "vanilla ice cream". I'm sorry, I normally try to proof my postings before sending, but I was in a hurry and thinking about what else I needed accomplish today.

I don't think any of us thought you were going to bring Vanilla Ice to the rally, though he might have livened things up.

Or my mudslides, or cheesecake.

OK, is this a list of everything I can bring? Fair warning, I have never made blueberry ice box cake in my life. But I can google with the best of them and am willing. For veggies I am thinking slow cooked green beans, seems to fit with possum loaf etc. Mashed taters would be tough as I don't actually have a kitchen in my GT so boiling water is out of the question.

Marie is making the blueberry cake and the mashed 'taters.
If you have a microwave, maybe you can nuke some veggies.

Green beans would be great.

I remember sitting in the kitchen at my grandparents home in Mississippi, destringing and breaking up fresh green beans for her big aluminum pot that I now have and use. She would cook them with some bacon------delicious.

Green beans it is! Slow cooked with bacon or country ham, southern style.

I'm bringing two of those NU-Wave induction burners for general use - OUTDOOR KITCHEN available. It'll be a test run, though I will check both to make sure they actually work. I know they require a flat bottomed stainless steel or cast iron pot to work... and I do have some of those pans plus the ones I got "free (cough, gag)" with a "just pay the shipping" agreement. I know there are picnic tables and assume there are cooking rings.

I'm also bringing my Volcano Cooker.

We can bring both our gas grill/single burner cooktop, and our electric grill. Between all of this stuff and what everybody else brings, we ought to be able to make enough food so we won't go hungry.

Has anyone ever left a rally hungry?

Or, not having had a bit more alcohol than one necessarily needs?

Life is good, rallies are REALLY good.

It is an absolutely beautiful day at Highland Haven today. Paula I know you talked to the host this week and everything is all set. There will be plenty of sites so if someone wants to come at the last minute, just call. It looks like all coming will be close together. I did find out there are no fire rings on the sites but there is a nice fire ring by the apple trees. Charcoal is allowed on site if you have a grill.
Looks like about 10 shareholders will join the group for pot luck.
Attached are some of the sites you be using.

Sure looks nice, and the weather forecast also looks good.

How in the world did anyone find that much flat land in the mountains to build a campground on !!!

I can bring along some firewood if need be. Just say the word.
