TX Hill Country get together ?
Hi all we are still recovering from the central TX rally, But as always looking for more fun or punishment as it may be we are putting it out there if anyone would want to get together just for fun no rally just a bones basic BBQ and fellowship in an area for the Oct fest in Fredricksburg and Lavender fest in Johnson City both starts Sept 30th Fri to Sun Oct 2nd. For those who don't know we left Pecan Park a month ago have relocated to Johnson city the Roadrunner RV park its a old kinda reminds us of the old route 66 motor parks there is another airstreamer with us we kinda talked them into a vintage overlander and fixed it up for them no polish yet. anyway we would like to introduce them to good airfourm people with silver rigs, and both of us will be running this place in Sep looks like soon to be an airstream run park well as far as the workers go. Now this is no river park but this area has much to offer so many wineries here lots of antique shops in the area of course Blanco is close by, Behive is close ,LBJ ranch, andthe Johnson's old homestead all great places to see, the history in this area is just endless well let us know and I am sure Rondi will let me put on some ribs for all and the park rates are around $23, with a real nice club house for get togreathers.

We will probably be able to make this one. I'll know in a couple of weeks. This post will keep me informed as to progress.
My trailer is stored in Dripping Springs, so this is a short tow for us.

Sounds like fun to me! I'll know more about the "if's & when's" as your date for the gathering draws closer. I'll definately watch this thread. This will be an even shorter tow for me than for Pahaska (above). What is it - Blanco to Johnson City? 12 miles or so? Cost wise, I think I can afford this one. Let the diesel prices be damned, this time.

Great to hear you guys are considering this we are jazzed about this place there is several reasons we have for the Johnson city park the owner Carol is a very nice lady her husband had bought this park couple years ago last year he passed away she really had no idea what to do with the park but she kept it due to it was her husband's baby the park is a small one with around 60 sites she has done a great job getting it up and running and looking nice she has a few monthly in that are working in the area and it has helped, we would like to help with giving her some business and showing what we as airstream people are made of lots of people look for the resort parks Rondi and I do prefer the older park look with the ma and pa feel if we are to stay in a town this fits the bill for us and gives us memory's of day's gone by thanks all, hope it works out for all to come.

Hey, We can't miss this one. Count us in! When should we make reservations?
I can't wait to see on of those Big White Dogs you have Bruce!
It's nice that these events are so close to Jim that he doesn't have to drag his AS very far.
TOP, you able to make it?

Just made our reservation. May not bring a big white dog, he would take up all of the 20' but maybe a small pry.

I'd really like to make this one! It all depends on the kid's cross country meet schedule. I'll have a look see.

Hi all we been getting a few PM's, so I will put it out there, This will be a get to together not an official rally San Marcos started as a get together ended up a rally. But this is a much different place nice place to just get together and relax. I will be smoking some ribs, and putting together some wineries to visit if anyone wants to. If into antiques we have found a few good deals in the area, We like the area for going to Fredricksburg and the LBJ ranch which at times has different things to see and do. and a note my personal weather man has told me it will be cooler by at least 1 degree Oh Jim you have been requested to be parked next to Spear Guy.

Re: Hi!
Hi Everyone,
This is my very first Air Forums post! I'm a pretty new Airstream owner and forum member but I've been reading for a while and you all are so knowledgeable and helpful!!
I'd like to come to the meet-up in October, and bring my old labradors.
