Two Wheelers Among Us...
It's my favorite time of year to ride. Crisp morning air, predictable weather (for the most part), and beautiful scenery changes.
Was curious about how many motorcylists we have in our group.
Regards,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
I'm a rider - I used to have a Vespa, and quickly found that I much preferred motorcycles. Now I've got a Ninja (so does my husband). So when the weather looks good for the weekend, I'll follow the Airstream on the bike, enjoying the scenery from a different angle.
You mention crisp morning air - it's a bit too crisp for me lately - I much prefer the crisp afternoon air up here in Canada. ;-)
Cheers

Another rider
The main reason we got a trailer rather than a M/H is the ability to have an enclosed vehicle AND haul a bike... in our case a V-rod.
Q- What do Harleys and hound dogs have inn common?
A- They both like to ride in the back of pickup trucks!

Currently have a Honda VFR 800 Interceptor. This is perfect riding weather--in fact, planning on going out this afternoon.

I haven't owned a motorcycle for over 30 years, my last one was a '38 Indian 4 cylinder that I bought as a basket case for $25 and restored over a period of about 10 years, prior to that a couple of BMW's, a Norton and a Jawa.
I've kept my motorcycle drivers license, just in case......
Nowadays I often ride a bicycle to work, just resumed after a taking a
summer break a couple of days ago. Air hasn't been crisp down here in Southern Arizona for many moons, but at least it's dropped below 70° here on a couple of mornings.

I've been riding since my dad bought my brother and me a dirt bike when I was 5 years old or so. I'm 40 now, and I've had a bike of some kind for 35 years. Current stable includes a 1987 Sportster, 1998 BMW GS that my wife and kids bought me for Fathers Day this year, a 1978 BMW R100/7 that my Dad bought new and only put about 3500 miles on in 25 years until I decided to restore it and keep it in my garage, and a motorized bicycle with a 50CC 2 stroke engine on it.
Until I started restoring my Airsteam a couple years ago, I used to find old beat up Triumphs and rebuild them over the winter and sell in the spring. I paid my property taxes 3 years in a row doing that.

I never, never, never haul it.
They are made to ride. Rode my 49 Pan Head, Hard Tail, from McAllen, Texas to Sturgis, SD and back. I won't do that again!
One good thing about a Hard Tail Harley....you always know precisely when your half way to your final destination. You go till you hit the first railroad track or pot hole. Then you turn around and go home.
