Maybe some of you have gussed it by know, I'm working on a parody of the original song, Convoy. I thought the trip needed a theam song. Hope it dosen't drive all you away.

here's a thought: don't "finish" in NYC; you're not all the way east unless you bring it into NewEngland. Wind it up w/ a NE-Unit Rally!!

June 21st to June 24th is the Scusset Beach Buddy Rendevous @ Scusset Beach State Park, Sandwich, MA (Cape Cod Bay);

The International Rally is June 24th to July 3rd;

The Wilgus Rendevous is July 13th to July 15th at Wilgus State Park, VT; and

The Region 1 Rally ("Just Camping") is August 9th to August 12th in Bondville, VT.

VT, thanks that gives lots of time choices. We'll plan on making it to at least one. Would you keep an eye out to the thread and Blog so you can make a contact to us as we get closer.

Don, That's a new version of Alabama's hit "Roll-On" that I'm working on! If you decide on the Route 66 trip routing you can jump onto I-74 East at Bloomington, IL Then head east thru Indiana and Pick up I-70 out of Indianapolis into Ohio. Then north on I-75 for a short time to JC and the "Mothership!" Did I mention the Midwest Forums Rally at Moraine View? The Rally page gives very clear directions to the campgrounds. Jack C. always says come as you are... trailer or sans trailer. It is in June (8,9, and 10th) this year. I am hoping to make an appearance this year even if the "Landshark" isn't ready to Roll-On! Ed

Sure will. If I had a better sense of where you might be and when I might even be able to join your righteous convoy good buddy. C'mon.

Anyone else on the east coast interested in going out to the mothership and caravanning back in this here convoy?

We live in LA but would try to hook up with you either coming or going if your route is at all close (300 -400 miles or so) to give you a great send off or a welcome back. Please keep posting your plans so we all can either meet you or send you good cosmic kharma.......you are going to have a spectacular trip.....I wish we could go along all the way. I hale from Independence, MO (Truman country) but have never "Airstreamed" there.....but have traveled between Denver and Kansas City and St. Louis many times by car.....we are hoping to take our Suite Spot there someday soon....and then go to see our son in New York.....just can't go this year....just keep us posted. Wow - Another RoadTrip sounds KILLER!!!!

Having one S-L (sister-in-law) birth and S-L Wedding, I know that there is likely to be A LOTTTTTT of actvity in the midwest this summer for us, and why should'nt ALL of you be invitied along???????

Sister-in-law will be wedded on Sept 1st in Terra Haute.

There is also a baby shower that will take place in mid June. - This is a seperate SIL and she lives in TN, south of Nashville.

There are life anchors to ABQ (wife is graduatin from a program that requires long hoods and sashes!!!! - MDP) so that will keep me close to home around June 9th.

Where can we do a rally (BUDDY, WBCCI, ETC) that will energise these folks that have things here or there, but to really set up a 'ONE' or counts & gets them all to rally around and make it the biggest thing that wasn't...!

Just a thought! There HAS TO BE one (or two) that brings the ASF's style to the front!!!!!??!!!!!!!!!! East/West/North/South rally that we can set up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? Get those thinking caps on.

Just got back from Sacramento to pick Airstream interior parts that were a gift. And what a great gift. And most of just met two really great people. They said they might make it to Cassine Ranch Rally even though their airstream is not on the road yet. I told them that once one has Aluminum stains on their hands they will always be welcome. C'Back.

NorCal Bambi this sounds like a great idea. When You leave Jackson Center a great stop to make for the night that I recomend is http://www.pennwood .org .org This is approx. 250 from NYC. I can highly recomend this Airstream only park.
