To all at the UFO rally-Thanks for your help
Tom, Tedd, Mike, Rochelle & everyone who chipped in to help us out,
We pulled in to our first rally, and had barely unhooked and set up when our 14 year old Lab, Giallo, had a major seizure. Everyone we had just met generously pitched in to help us break camp and get hooked up, so that we could head home. You guys are great.
"G" had been diagnosed with nasal cancer months before, and we were on borrowed time. He continued to have seizures through the night, while we held him, and it was clear they would not subside. We went to the emergency vet, and he was euthanized at 5:00 this morning. God, this is so hard.
One of the reasons we got into Airstreams was that it gave us the opportunity to travel with our pets. G was with us for every mile we travelled in the A/S, from Arkansas to around Lake Superior. Just last week we were in Door County, and we walked together through the woods. I've read that dogs come back as people. I hope that we'll meet again, and that we'll have another chance to walk in the woods.
