Today I received some T shirt printed samples. This first picture is how the image looks as Lynn has created it. It looks good, but the background comes out really dark. There is great contrast from the lettering and from the tuber/bbq pit.
The next picture is a green background and denim background. I like both of them, but I feel the tuber/bbq on the green background looks odd, and would need to be white. The demin looks pretty good.
This picture has another denim look, but also has a lighter blue. This also looks good, but there needs more contrast on the tuber/bbq IMHO.
What are everyone's opinions?
On a final note, I wanted to share a commemorative patch that I am having made for each trailer that has signed up (and added their name to the list). This was a sample, but the final draft should have year on it. So, if anyone has yet to let me know ya'll are attending, it would be a great time not only for the patches, but for our sponsors as well so they may know how much to send us.

I prefer it with the original colors that I had created. The photo makes the main color look green, but it isn't, it's a blue.

I can supply Pantone Matches if they need them.

I like the original color as well, but it isn't translating to the shirt well. It needs to be brighter than the current tshirt, but darker than the light one.

I like either the original or the denim one. The patch is a nice bonus too! :0 )

Thanks Debbie.
When I was in Missouri, I would have magnet buttons made with the rally logo on it. It was cool for people collecting them. I have considered instead of the patch to have small metal plates that are engraved with the tshirt design due to difficulty of transferring the embroidery to a patch substrate. Since today is the day I have to report to the sponsors for their product, I am using the last list I have posted. For the shirts and patch/plaque the last day will be the Sunday prior to the rally.

Thanks Deb, I have updated your information below.
So here we are just under two weeks from the rally, and I have been finalizing things with our event sponsors. Today I received a picture of the coffee packs that were being sent by Independence Coffee Company out of Brenham, TX. Everyone will get a pack in their gift bag.
How cool is it that they printed the event information on the bag! I.C.C. is sending coffee, tea, and several other gifts for prizes. I was also told they planned to show up with hopes of touring a few campers as they plan to have a mobile coffee shop soon, and want to use an Airstream. You can find their products at HEB all over Texas.
Today I also see that New Braunfels Brewing Company has received their new beer kegs. We were hooked up with NBBC by one of our rally attendees who happens to be friends with the owner. Because they committed to this event, he ordered the kegs and started brewing earlier than they had planned. This is the first batch of beer they have brewed in their new tanks. Another great local Texas business going the extra mile to make our event more enjoyable. By the way...anyone have a keg tub or extra Rubbermaid trash can to chill the keg?
The attendance prize list has grown as well including custom laser engraved cutting boards, flamingo items, and more.
Two weeks left folks, lets make this the best Central Texas rally to date.

We're leaving Springfield MO on the 30 of May... if we make there, we'll be there!
I'm in process of buying pickup so the PvtRN can haul her BMW. It won't fit in the Suburban and I'm afraid to put a hitch on the of the AS!

Nice to see you initiating some of your friends into the Silver family. I bet they are just as excited.

Obviously it all depends on when you leave and how far you drive in a day to know when you would arrive, but Springfield is considerably closer than STL, and it usually takes us 15 hours to get from STL to San Marcos. Hope to see you there.
Ok, so we are under two weeks away now. I received a nice shipment from Independence Coffee Company today with coffee, tea, and a few prize items. They sent 65 packages of coffee, so there will be plenty for everyone to try and take home afterwards. They also supplied me with enough tea to make about five gallons which I will have that available for sampling until it is gone. A nice travel mug and gift box with tea and coffee inside round out the items in the box.
I also received some of the items I had made for the rally. Every trailer attending the rally will get on of these laser engraved plates. I think they turned out nice.
These cutting boards are some prize items for the event. The person making the shirts for the event has a C&C router that carved it into the board. Pretty cool huh? A small cutting board is perfect for an Airstream!
Speaking of shirts, the deadline is THIS FRIDAY if you are wanting one. Several people have ordered via private message, but if you want one, you need to let me know. Shirts up to XL are $12 and add $2 for XXL. All are high quality preshrunk cotton.
Thanks everyone...see you in a couple weeks.

You have really put a lot of thought into this rally. Such neat ideas and detailed gift/sponsor type items Steve.
Thank you in advance for your time on this event!

I second that thought! Thanks Steve, I'm sure it will be a fun rally!
Also, Jim wants a t-shirt too, the original color in XL.
We will bring pork loin on Fri. night and some grilled chicken breasts and a broccoli carrot salad on Sat. night.
Can't wait!
Debi & Jim

Thank you Den and Debi. I have really wanted to grow the event to the point where the park is almost all aluminum. Being a huge park, it is quite difficult to do. All I can hope is that things progress in future years.

Greetings all,
It's been a heck of a week here in San Antonio, and I only have two days of work before heading to San Marcos after the holiday weekend. Silverdolla and I went to the release party for the New Braunfels Brewing Company on Tuesday. The beer was 7% alcohol and I only had 1 on the empty stomach (I'm a lightweight). We will be getting his "Luftweiss" which is a wheat beer finished with citrus. It's easier to drink than the Feuerweiss that we sampled on Tuesday.
For those who ordered shirts, I received them today. The picture below shows the original color (dark) vs the color we ended up using (lighter). The issue was the color calibration of the printer.
Besides me, is anyone else bringing kids along? I found this really cool flamingo shaped pinata at the store, and I think the kids would have fun with it.
Being a week out, here is the latest list of people and food items that have been put forth. Please feel free to copy and paste this list into a new comment, and add your dish.

Steve,
I'm going to invite my neighbor again. She's the one that came with her boys last time. I doubt they'll stay overnight but I wouldn't be surprised if they come for a day.
