The Shakedown Rally - Wallowa Lake, OR.
There is moss growing on my Caravel. I've had snow piled high on it and the RV antifreeze is telling me it is time to set it free. It has been sitting behind the gate for an awful long time right next to its partner in crime the trusty F-250. While on a recent road trip for work I ran across another pair that is also ready for a lil' road trip. Some strange folks with a cream colored Airstream, they call it Argosy....weird.
So it is time for that first trip of the Camping Season. You know the one. The one where you find out that you have spiders in your hotwater heater burner. The one where you leave the can opener at home. (or the cork remover)
How about joining us at the Shakedown Rally at Wallowa Lake Oregon on April 17th through April 19th.
So fill up your propane tanks and head on out. Good times will be had by all.
A little FYI.....in April the weather can be unpredictable up there so bring warm clothes. Snow is possible but it melts off quickly during the day.
Don't delay the camping sites in the Switzerland of America are going fast. RSVP ASAP.
Cheers from a fellow with a Caravel and cabin fever, Chris

Thanks for hosting this, we wish we could be there but are already booked up that weekend. This is our favorite place to visit in the northwest and we go there every spring. Wish we could be there!

I am going to make reservations today. Anymore takers ?? The sites shouldn't be too hard to come by this time of year. After today anyone wanting to attend will have to make their own reservations.

Thanks for the invite Chris!
We went to the Wallowa Lake a couple of years ago in the fall (with out the trailer) and ran into a fellow streamer we had met at the Mt. Baker rally earlier that summer....too funny, we were in a gift shop and both were looking at an äirstream book looked up and .....
I will talk to Jer at lunch and see if we can make it.....we may have more time off then we planned this year

Chris,
Count us in if there is still room! Let us know what we can bring! We've seen lots of Airstreams on I-5 in the last couple weeks and we have looked longingly (is that a word?) at them heading down the road. Our Bambi is itching to get out of the garage!

Marc - call the schools and find out the exact days for the WASL - you might be able to swing it.
See ya all there.

Hi all, So far I have 6 attendees.
Janet/Gary
Acgypsy
L&C Woggie
Norcal Bambi/Caddygrn
Greatpumpkin
CJohnson
I will be making the reservations on Monday now as I got involved in a huge project on Friday and missed the deadline. My pickup truck is now ready for action though.
Don't forget to sign up on the Rally Calendar !
Thinking of a Potluck type of Dinner on Saturday night. I'll be making a pot roast. It seems like a good hearty meal for early spring camping.
There are no other plans made at this point.

Chris - would it be correct to assume that you are talking about the gathering at Wallowa State Park?
We were going to try to get our first trip of the year this coming week in but snow and cold wx is likely going to get us to change our minds.

Hi Bill, Yes you are correct. But it is in late April, so snow may very well not be a factor. Let me know if you would like to join us. We'd be glad to have ya.
