If you aren't fully crazy after your ordeal with TT.... you should be good to go! Yes, fully understand... we could finish the Flying Cloud with ours! Hummmmmm, wonder if I don't pay my taxes how long I could hide in the woods with an airstream from the Fed's???? :P

Glad I am not the only one who doesn't get their taxes done by the end of January!

I got the Caravel ready yeasterday. Tested everything and it all works still, woo hoo ! Cleaned the furnace too. Last thing to do is inspect bearings and brakes.

Anyone interested in joining us in three weeks ?

So I had a weird thing happen to me yesterday. I got a call from Reservations NW. I thought hmm why would they be calling me.

Turns out they were calling me to tell me when the water in the campground would be turned on.

The water is supposed to be turned on that weekend. They also told me that if by chance they don't get it turned on we can still fill our tanks there, at the park. There are two standpipes that are on all year.

If you need water you might want to get it before you get set up. Check with me or the Ranger on the way in to see if the water is on.

You can still use the sewer but they ask that you do not empty your holding tank at the site as it may overflow. No one wants that !! Use the dump station. The electric will also be on.

I thought that was pretty good customer service for this outfit.

. It's been awhile, and I was looking forward to camping and seeing everyone again. O-well, there will be more rallys - right?

We are sorry you won't be able to make it! It has been way too long since we have been able to see you and your nice family at a rally! It is a bit of a drive for you.... but check out the Steens rally in the fall! Don't see you on the Area 33 list....?.... it is much closer.

Hi all,

Well sweet hubby did it again!

He fixed our little compressor that runs our water system in the Bambi. The little motor gave its last spurt on our last outing. But.... (fanfare here...) thanks to Darol Ingalls and the old compressor he gave us out of some other Airstream... Don rebuilt our little unit! Wow, much quieter and nice. Don went out to the garage several times after he finished just to turn it on and listen!

Sure are looking forward to the rally!

Anyone have a date for their arrival at Wallowa Lake? We anticipate we will arrive Friday... depending on how long it takes us (weather stuff....) to get there from Yreka. Our current plans are to leave here Wednesday and maybe even take 2 nights on the road.

The Bambi is hitched up to our trusty little Ford... almost everything is packed except for refrigerator & fresh food and a few last minute items (that goes in Wed morning). Don double checked that all the systems are working...
