I love the Shaver area, was just at Huntington last weekend. Edison does have a nice looking campground, however the last time I checked into it, they require that all reservations be done by fax. The system looks cumbersome, not too user friendly to me. It would also be a 3 season campground IMO.

That and a refrigerator full of beer in the garage...great neighbors, and my very own dog park right next to my house.

As far as a rally goes, I don't care where. I'll try to make it.

If anyone is in the Bay Area soon and can help me install a window, I'll feed you. I make a mean apple pie. Dogs welcome. I really do have a dog park right next to my house. I live near a former railroad yard that is now in the process of being turned into open space by the city, after a long legal fight.

Hey, this all sounds fun. We live exactly between Cassini Ranch and Point Arena, and I'd say that Sept. or Oct. are the nicest times of the year, and then May. Ocean Cove, above Jenner is a nice place, with great parks near by. What about north of Mendocino

Casper Beach Camping & RV Park
tel. +1 707.964.3306
14441 Point Cabrillo Drive
Mendocino, CA 95437

is nice

or, how about Healdsburg/Calistoga

If you guys find places that sound good, I could preview 'em.

take it easy

Peter

Rally

Hi Globie64, an auction company that has huge swaps on the former Alameda Naval Airstation added vintage trailers to one of their big events. One of the guys has a vintage Airstream and hosted a rally to go with the event. I posted pictures at my Flickr site, check the link in my signature (maybe that's where you got the info).

I can't recommend it for a Norcal Rally really, it's on a former jet runway. Although the view of San Francisco is great from right there, it would be like camping in a big driveway, no fires, no greenery This group could make that fun, but there are better choices. With beaches!! Beaches are good!!

29 Palms would be cool! Real close to Joshua Tree NP too.

Be advised the spud gun is retired. It's use is strictly limited to the vineyard. Sorry. 1000 clicks to a Marine base is toooo close for me. Tim

Better?

Just Great....doorgunner gives up the spud gun just in time to haul out the howitzer....how is that better? Rumor has it that he isnt gonna give up til he takes down any incoming SOBs invading the rally.

John

It was the paranoid elks club sob's that made the 911 call, and I was the one that had his papers checked! I'm goin into the stealth mode for a while, heck I've already exposed my shinny balls. Later Tim
