L.c.

Ok after visiting on the phone with L.C. (Frenchy) today we got him signed up for spot 77.

Again if anyone has trouble with making reservations I will be more than glad to help walk you through the process.

It was my pleasure, I really enjoyed talking with LC on the phone today.
We already have lots in common. After awhile of talking be both decided we had better get off the phone to have something to talk about at the rally. Can't wait to meet!

O and he told me about his Jambalaya, I love good food LOL!

The Farmer hollers that out in Waterboy...

Re: The Waterboy Movie clips - YouTube

I got a question...
The campground shows max length site of 40'...my trailer and truck BARELY fit in a 46' site...

Are the sites wide enough to let me park beside the trailer?

Yes there is additonal parking at each trailer area. Some bigger than others. When Mrs. S and I camped there in July we had spot 76 and we had our 30' trailer and 3 vehicles there at one time. The sites are designed so that fishermen can pull there boats out of the water and bring them up to their camp site at night.

Spot 69 or spot 79 would prolly be your best bet for 34' of Aluminum.
79 would be the easiest to get into.

You can see better on this map of how the sites are laid out.

Update

Wow after I went to bed last night we had several sign up.

I updated the map, it was getting harder to view to me so I changed the color scheme up.

Blue Squares are sites that are already reserved by Airstreamers.
Yellow Squares are spots still avalible.

There are only 2 spots left inside the loop. So if you want to be in the center sign up quick.
Lots of aluminum in the Loop

MC Park map.pdf

I highlighted some sites that are outside of the loop, they are just across the main road. They are nice sights right in the middle of lots of tall Pine Trees.

Looks like we are filling up pretty fast but there is still plenty of room.

Its very exciting, when we stayed last time while we were checking in a couple of the park attendants come over to look at our Airstream. One said "you know these are really nice trailers, but we just dont see many of them in this park"
Boy are we about to give them a treat!

BBQ Pit

Ok so I talked to a close friend of mine and asked him about his BBQ Pit and what we have going on for the Texas Piney Woods Rally. Hes not an Airstreamer but he is one of the best BBQ Pit cooks in East Texas. Thats no joke! Everyone wants and asks him to cook around these parts. He said he would be more than glad to come up and visit and do some cooking with us. TOP mentioned briskets, well your in luck because thats what his specialty is!

Only thing that Im afraid we might run into is the problem with fires and the drought we are having in Texas. They were pretty strick on fires of any kind the last time I was up there. Im going to wait till time gets aliitle closer and give the park itself a ring and see if I cant work something out with them. If they give the ok then Ill get a head count and Ill take care of the meat. If you want something other then brisket dont hold back just let me know.

If the park says NO then I have a plan B but lets just hope they will say yes. I might have to put some of you on water hose duty and fire watch and see if the local fire department will let us borrow a fire truck but Im pretty good at..........O I better not jinx myself, lets just hope plan A will go through fine.

Still plenty of room if others are sitting on the fence, might as well come out and have a good time.
