We have never attended a rally but would love to stop by and meet the folks. It's only 28 miles from us.

You are very welcome to join us! We would love to meet you! This is a great non rally rally and it is our 10th year.

My Favorite Bridge
Anyone recognize this bridge? Love this little park. Both pics taken at different times of different years...Definitely a photo op coming or going!! For the first one I had to stop and let Skye run across the bridge to set up and take the shot. The one from a distance was us leaving the rally last year. Was not even taken by us. But a good forum rally friend sent it to us. Gotta luv it!
See you all in a week!

Skye, glad to have been of service with the photo. I'll make sure to bring the good camera this year. That reflection was amazing!
To others, don't forget to bring your fishing poles! The lake will be stocked with Rainbow Trout on the 7th!!! Free fishing with no license in State Parks!

Still one of our favorite photos. Everyone shoud try and get a shot on that bridge. I hear that sometimes, the water is running over it, that would be a neat pic! (and a little scary)

Some changes this year...the promoters of this rally will request a $10 donation per adult - this will offset the cost of the large pavillion (a must have) as well as the Friday dinner (Chili and Frito Pies) and many other things. Please note that this donation will not go to the keg - the planners think it is fair that only beer drinkers share the cost of the beer - I know that I will contribute to Chuck to offset the expense of this necessary beverage.
The ten bucks is voluntary only - no names will be taken.
Dinner Friday (December 7) will be provided, Potluck and dirty Santa is at the Blanco State Park main Pavillion on Saturday December 8 gathering sometime between 5 and 6 PM.

Watch for Grandma's when crossing that bridge....

I checked out places the last two days looking for that "special gift" without much success. Looks like the surgery schedule this week is pretty hectic and it will be all I can do to just get out of town for camping on Friday without losing my mind. Having no knowledge of this park, do we just show up and they tell us where our spot is?
Weather looks to be warm in the mid to upper 70's...nice looking weekend.

Spot are distributed on a first come, first served. You have a res for a deluxe or standard site, but not a specific site. Hope this helps.

crossing the Bridge
A couple years ago it was to nice not to stop and spend the night. See what happens when you spend all that time polishing?

2nd answer first. yes just show up and they will assign you a spot or you can drive over and pick one yourself if there is time...as the park fills they will just tell you where you are....this park is in the middle of the town of Blanco ...
as for the gifts Flamingos and chickens seem to be Very popular.. also duct tape is always a gift traded for... just bring something you would like to have. because YOU may just end up with it

The Hammock family is going to 'opt out' of the Dirty Santa game this year and instead take the kids over to the parade and probably up to Johnson City for the light show.
Was thinking of a family holiday movie, drive in style, at our trailer on Friday night.

Seeing that kids are usually in rare form at some rally events, and knowing that Collin and the girls are buddies....we may just join you for that.
I have put together a gift pack. It isn't a lot, but it will be included in the gifts.
