I'm not big on merlot, but I do pretty good with gin and chardonnay. Looking forward to meeting you

Both, mostly box on the wine. The gin is in a bottle, until it gets into the glass that is. Doesn't stay there too long.

Well shoot! we'll hoist a glass for you Don and Claudia. You'll be missed.
We're in striking distance in Bend as we speak and will be travelling tomorrow to the 'glen.
Weather report looks great and the rv park owner sez they just graded the road so should be smooth(er) ride.
See y'all there.

Don & Claudia,
Major bummer....you'll be missed....but blood family must come before airstream family! and yes we'll catch up with you at the next rally!
Janet, I'll have a glass (er cup) of merlot with you!
Loren & Carolyn,...... don't go see the Diamond Craters, P Ranch, round barn, and Wildlife Refuge tomorrow. We're gonna do that on Saturday and then eat dinner at the Diamond Hotel which is over in that area (34 miles from the RV Park). We were also planning to do the Steens loop on Friday, so don't do that yet either. You can do anything you want tomorrow except those things! Oh....while in Bend, convince Jerry and Patsy to come to the rally as well!
I'm trying to get Josh from the BLM to give us a talk about the Keiger wild horse herd on Friday morning about 9 am.
See ya all Thursday!

Yikes Janet.... I bet Cheryl might come to the rescue! So sorry we have to miss this ~ I was looking forward to hearing all about your new kitchen!
We will have to catch up on the news next time around. BTW, be sure and take some cool pics of your "practice retirement" trip! My idea of good retirement, is coffee in bed every morning, getting up when I am ready, and meals when I feel like it. Then you can spend your time just doing what you want! I still haven't figured out how to get the cat to vacuum and do all that kind of stuff...
Have fun everyone! Janet, have a glass of merlot for me!

Get one of those things that run around the house by itself. I am preety sure that you may have to have one for each floor. Don't think that the little guy will go up or down the steps.

Thanks everyone for the "we'll miss you posts"... while you are hoisting a glass, eating delicious food, enjoying great conversation, and seeing new sites you can be rest assured I am "relaxing" while faxing information to Tokyo so I can bring my meds with me... and waiting for the mystery approval for a Visa to China, and a bunch of other paperwork that still needs to be completed on other "projects". Don will be trying to fill the custom hole he put in the attic with a window that is a tiny bit smaller than the hole... before we depart and the rains come.
Anyway, lots of stuff on our plate. Gotta say, Jim is right, "blood family" does come first, but "airstream family" comes in second with a photo finish!
Claudia & Don too!

I am so sad to report that Brad and I won't be able to attend either. I reported for jury duty today and got seated on a jury that will hear a 3 day trial, so it won't be over til Friday. We are do disappointed as we were really looking forward to this for quite some time. Have fun everyone!

HI all, I am sorry to say that I am not going to make it either. Work has been erratic at best. I don't feel comfortible spending money I may need for bills later. :-( Major bummer. I was looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend. I will have some fun on my vacation it just has to be very close to home. I will miss you all.
Have fun and enjoy the area ! I love it over there.
See you all at the next rally.

A quick report. We arrived on thursday and this place is rugged and beautiful. The campground owner used to work for BLM as a wildlife ecologist and he spent a coupel of hours chatting about the area - fascinating. He was involved with herds of wild mustangs and has a 20+ year old mustang mare that lives at the campground, roaming free like a family dog. The first night here the horse (star) came and stood at our trailer door - head inside, looking for food. Later star took her place in the circle around the campfire
Today- - fishing, sightseeing and dinner in town.

Arrived home today from our 1st rally. Met very interesting and fun Airstreamers. We saw many great sites, but the only "wild" horse was seen in the campground. Highlight was the dinner at Diamond Hotel. Fabulous food for a very reasonable price. Thanks to all who welcomed us - which was everyone there. Susan
PS TY to Jim & Cheryl for the tasty chile. And everything else was good too.

Thanks Chris for organizing this rally and getting us to this beautiful location. We all had a great time and missed you being here.
Here are a couple of pics of the rally....enjoy!
The first is the owner, Josh giving us a two hour talk about the history of the area and wildlife.
The second and fourth pics are the Keiger wild horse mare "Star" at our campfire the first night drooling over Cheryl after getting an apple.
The third is Gary and Loren jawing around the campfire.
More to come.....
