ha! At least we can't book spots until Jan 1. We are kinda sorta maybe planning to attend the CBR, but we have a trip to the UK in April, too. Julie wants to go back to the castle we got married in for our anniversary. That should be nice and cheap, huh? ha! When are you going, Alan? PM me.

Cheerio, laddies!

Looks like we are going to be free both weekends first part of April so we should be able to make it no matter which weekend it is scheduled...but I'm still partial to a May weekend even the later weekend in May.

I think it is a great thing you are doing organizing these trips. I would love to come up from Loganville and do one of your get togethers. I can't because I teach school which does not start until 9 A.M. and cannot get out of work until 5. P.M. 45 minute drive home and then it is already dark. I have five more years and I will be able to retire and do all the trips. Yaaaa hooooo!!

Lothlorian, I still work and its about a 45 minute drive for me as well. By the time I get home, eat a quick bite, change out of my suit, hook up and load the family, it's at least 7:30 or later before we hit the road. We have been to the Falluminum and Springstream and both times we got there around 10-10:30. It was 10:00 when we got to the End-of-the-Summer Rally Thang and Sugarfoot held the lantern while I backed downhill into our site and lit the corner of our pad so I could see where I wanted to line up the wheels. We have checked into Ft. Wilderness at 2:30 AM before. When we go to the Can Opener it is usually 1-1:30 AM when we get down there...you can do it if you can tow in the dark and can level up and connect a water hose and shore power by flashlight or lantern. We've had plenty of practice from the very first trip we took. All you need is a Red Bull and a talkative spouse to make it anywhere at anytime.

I'm not sure both of those together are worth it.

Brian
we teach too, and we leave Friday after school and get there at like 7:30 or so. The main thing is Saturday anyway.
So maybe you CAN make one.

I am for sure going to the UK first week in May , so its either the week after mother's day the 15-17th or the first weekend in April.

I have a major birthday on the 19th so the 17 would be kinda fun I guess. Shall we take another poll

My former vote on the poll for May 1-3 is now for April 3-5! We will be out of town May 10th through May 17th and already have someone house sitting for us that week.

Thanks, G

Unhappy No good dates for us

The best dates for us aren't even an option (April 17 - 19). The weekend before, the FL Unit hosts the St. Augustine FL Easter Rally. The weekend after is Region 3 Rally in Perry, GA. Our attendance at SpringStream '09 looks a little iffy.

man, 3 of us going to the UK in the same month? That's funny! My in laws told me that Delta has lowered the free bag limit on international from 2 to 1 now. Anything for a buck, huh?

Alan.........Just truck on and do what you need to do......For me, I have several conflicting dates but don't need to post them. If God wants me to be there it will happen. If not, there is always down the road. So, my friend, the most important thing is to get that tire fixed and for YOU to get down YOUR road...........See YOU and ALL there.........Dennis

Oh yeah that tire! I will call the park after Jan 1 and see what dates look the best. It will never be possible to eliminate all the conflicts of dates. Those who can, will.

Springstream

Apr. 3-5 or May 5-7 look good for the Lemondrop... May might be warmer for kayakers.

I'm going with an aluminum canoe, so I can polish it up to match the rest of the junk in the yard. ha! Plus, I can tow my feathercraft back with it when the engine conks out again. now THAT'S thinking ahead, huh?
