Thanks and...home

Thanks to Alan, and all who made this event, GREAT! It was great to add new names to my list of Airstream friends. Heck I even joined up with a group of them. My Dad and I enjoyed our time with all of you, and look forward to seeing you again. Our trip home took 2 days, Sunday we went east on 64, a small but scenic road, and stopped at Natural Bridge in Va. Today, Monday we had but 6 hours to go....and then we got stuck on 81 and 11 for just about 6 HOURS!!! I am not a fan of Va cops or DOT today. I truely think they could have done a better job of moving traffic, we sat, and sat, and sat and sat. And then, on 11 in Edrin (sp?) a State Trooper made us go another 8 or 9 miles further, rather than get on at a intersection that was not crowded, at the cost of another hour!and that intersection was two roads each with 3 lanes, no officer directing traffic- ie blocked drives and grid lock. Sorry for the rant, took me hours more to cool down.

Who IS that old guy with Les Paul , anyway? (that would be the black guitar on the far left)

Oh, wait, that's me!

And I enjoyed almost every minute while holding it, and had to put it away a couple hours sooner than I would have liked. Thanks for providing the opportunity to play.

Phil

The drummer's camo outfit proved to be very effective.

It was great having the potluck and concert right out my back door. All I had to do was turn my chair around. It was also cool having guest from the SECU being so well represented.

We had a drummer? I never saw him.

Thanks again to Alan and Shannon for organizing another great rally! The weather was quite cooperative and made for a really nice weekend. Special thanks to Phil for helping with the potluck (rented some tables in town), music equipment set up (and playing), and Brad for bringing a cajon (and playing). Great job by Ed......can anyone post a link to the video here?

The two food gatherings were wonderful (thanks to everyone)...especially the donut / fried cookie master!

Kids had a great time with all the other kids and no stitches or bandages were used (that I'm aware of).

To Geven....sorry 'bout the root beer! Honest mistake......(honest)!

Ron,

No apology necessary here as we both love root beer. I had assumed you made it. The other two bottles were as expected...well, at least one of them was, I'm saving the other one for now! Thanks to ALL that made this a great event. It was enjoyable down by the lake. Did someone foot the entire bill for the tables? I wasn't even aware that they were rented. Do we need to chip in so one person isn't carrying the load?

Thanks, G

PS....as I understand it, Ed's performance has been copyrighted and can't be re-posted.

Facebook friends can see Ed. Good thing I sent my friend request before he knew it was there!
