Made it home in one day. Nasty weather all the way, but traffic was not bad except in the Atlanta area. In a perfect world I will never have to experience Atlanta drivers again. Got to be some of the worst and rudest in the free world.
Big thanks to Alan for putting this rally together. I hade a wonderfully relaxing time, connected with old friends and made many new ones.

We had a great time and were so happy our little Lady (doggie) could mingle with so many other furry buddies! That campground is wonderful and we so appreciate how low key everything is. Love the tour of Airstreams. Always my favorite part!

As an Atlanta native, I'd like to say "how dare you"...but unfortunately you are exactly right! The drivers in New Orleans will however give the Atlanta drivers a run for their money. My wife and I took a 14 day trip out to Route 66, Grand Canyon and surrounding areas in an Airstream one time. We drove 4,800 miles in 14 days…and the only close calls we had were the last hour of the trip coming home…and I think there were three of them. I recall seeing a comedian at a comedy club years ago…back when it was a 55 MPH speed limit. He said he liked to get out during the day and ride around see the area when he was visiting a city…he said “I can tell you what, 55 MPH don’t mean a thing to you Atlanta people…if you drive 55 MPH in Atlanta, you’d better have a ramp going up the back of your car”. I experience the same thing trying to drive 68 (in the slow lane) of a 4 lane highway on my daily commute…I nearly get run over 10 times a day.

Glad you made it home safely…wish I could have visited with you more. The only time I came by you were visiting with others.

Thanks, G

Kudos, kudos, kudos!

As Ron said...thanks to EVERYONE that made this a great get together. Ruthie and I had a great time. No matter what you plan, if the people don't come, it's not an event! Thanks to those who played, sang (especially Madeline), brought instruments, brought food, kindly hosted/welcomed others at their campsites and a SPECIAL THANKS to those that literally "went the extra mile" by coming to this event from such a long distance. We appreciate the extra effort and expense you went to in order to get here.

Thanks, G

Again I would like to thank Alan for letting vintage kin attend this event. We really liked the low key, friendly, atmosphere. Everyone we talked to, and I mean everyone, was so friendly accommodating. So nice to see several generations of campers having a great time. There was no pressure to do anything if you justwanted to do your own thing, however the scheduled events were great. Thanks again. Jim and Linda.

glad you all enjoyed yourselves, that is the only point for our Rallys. "Selfishly" we enjoyed it too, its like throwing a party and everyone comes, bringing food and drinks.

We will do it again in the Fall.

I flew over to an airport near Asheville today for lunch with a friend.

Guess what I just happened to fly over on the way home.

It really is a beautiful part of the country!

The CampLite was dropped off at a dealer in Buford, GA last week.

I'd have thought I'd have heard something back by now - I need to call them tomorrow.

Thanks for asking!
