Hi Avaitor:
We're Bandits and are already on site c-9. Been here since Monday and are really enjoying it. You should have no problem getting into c-8 but we will be more than happy to help should you need it. Any idea when you might be arriving? If there is anything we can help with before you arrive just let us know. Probably the best way to reach us is by cell phone. My number is 1-813-781-2995. Jerry, Irene and Clancy. Looking forward to meeting you. Our first rally was last January at Topsail in Pensacola. We were newbies but it only lasted about half a day then we were just part of the group.

Bring whatever you want! No need be a master of dutch ovens. We've found that all of the food is absolutely scrumptious and there are few leftovers.

BTW, please look us up sometime this weekend. I have a few awning questions for ya.

Jim

Wow Looks like we are going to have a great rally. Regina tell me I still act like a kid so does that count. The main part of this rally is on Friday night and SATURDAY. For us early birds I just thought we might practice cooking [we need eaters to test our cooking ] for Saturday night. The servivers can eat with everybody else on Saturday . LOL Pot luck on Thursday and Friday night. What you think eat about 6:30?

Trying something different

We always drive as fast as we can, usually on the interstates, to get to our destination asap (this work things gets in the way). We are buggin' out today and driving about 5 hours or so on state highways. Going to enjoy the trip and the destination. See you guys tomorrow afternoon.

We're coming up for part of the day Saturday. I have two girls, 4 & 7 and a 10yo boy. They enjoy playing with "kids" of all ages...

Since we're not camping, only visiting for part of Saturday, I was wondering if we were going to have any problems getting into the campground. Is there a secret handshake I need to know about? Where should we park once we get there?
Thanks!

I have a 9 (+3/4) yr old son and a just turned 13 today! son that will be attending with us. They have already started saying they are bored with our rally so they would appreciate any company/opportunity to have friends to "play" with.

There is a gate but IIRC it is open 'till 10:00 PM. You should have no problem getting in. Just drive in and go past the check-in building and follow the road 'till you get to the camping area. There is plenty of parking on either side of the pavilion, in front of the rest rooms, and by the playground.

BTW, I'm hoping the pollen count in the mountains is lower than it is here in Metro-Atlanta. Today's pollen count is 5733 PPM!!!

Drive straight in - no handshake required. Make sure you come say hey - we'll be in C10!

look for any shiny aluminum...there will be plenty. If you park at the pavillion you will be in the midst of whatever is going on. If you get there by early afternoon you can join in on the tour of "homes"

Roadtoaster, some 5 hour drive! You must have gone fast to have made it to Hiawassee yesterday. See you about 5pm today, leaving about 7am central time for the 9 hour drive. All loaded - just waiting for the boss.
