We left Hiawassee this morning after a wonderful time at Springstream. With Alan gone, Kathy started the Saturday night dinner and there was lots of food, spectacular deserts, and great company, all followed with a bit of music. But, it did get pretty cool about the time the music started.

We really enjoyed the Friday night get together with music and the Saturday brunch along with the Saturday night dinner with music. The brunch was a lot of work for some though. Lots of pancakes and bacon along with biscuits and gravy and other misc. goodies.

Considering the weather forecasts, we were very lucky, and actually had very sunny weather during the days.

Thanks to Alan for planning this and to everyone who helped to make it so enjoyable.

It was great meeting all of you that attended, and especially those who have never "rallied" before...Hope we will see you again.
October "Falluminum" will be the last weekend before Halloween, once I check the park schedule if that is good for most folks...
I will put some photo links up as I can't post any here.....

Back from Springstream in Georgia '08

I arrived home safe and sound around 5 PM this afternoon. Springstream was a great event, as usual. I am looking forward to meeting more people at the rallies in the future. Pics to follow later. Thanks Alan, sorry I didn't get to say hello to ya.

Springstream Pictures

We really enjoyed ourselves the past few days. Great food, great people, great music, and a beautiful campground. I am posting pictures for the first time - hope it works. See you in the future somewhere. These pictures are of the campground and some of the trailers.

More Springstream Pics

Hey, that last one worked, so here are more pics. More campground shots then a couple of the cool Feathercraft boats that were there (check out the Feathercraft Restoration postings for many more pics of the boats). Captain Klattu was really cutting up the lake. Also, the Friday night band was great.

Even More Springstream Pics

Saturday kicked off with a bang with the fantastic potluck brunch/breakfast. Dennis and Susan were the pancake masters (with Alan supervising). The raffle immediately followed. After a tour of the trailers in the afternoon, that evening's potluck dinner was great (trust me, I suffered later from eating too much - compliments to all the chefs). Ron and Phil are talented musicians. On the last picture you need to look closely at nvestsly's license plate - Cee Ya!.

I would like to say what fun it was to meet all the great people over the weekend! The food was excellent, along with music, the meet and greet and not to mention the "Tour of Trailers" which was the best. Although, I did not have a camper with me and most you thought I was kidding about the tent thing it was a fabulous trip and will do it every time I can in the future....if I am not in jail.....aka......Bob Wire

We hated to leave , but our Pastor's retirement dinner was Sat. night, it lasted 5 hours, and was terrific. He passed the torch to his son who takes over after his dads 28 years at the helm.
Glad so many enjoyed themselves and the weather held for us.

Looks and sounds like everyone had a great time. We are so sad that we couldn't make it this year but Spring Break is always spoken for in our family. BTW, Mickey and Minnie said to say, "Hi"!

Looking forward to the next rally we can attend. It was really hard to leave our "Changes" in that storage lot in Florida, but it won't be that long before we see her again.

It was good seeing everyone again and meeting new friends. The grandbaby is ready to do it again next weekend! Too bad she fell asleep before the music started Saturday evening. But she slept for 14 hours and we were very happy!!!

I want to say thanks to the guys that helped with the awnings. TJ and I both have minimal damage, but it is fixable. We got home safely and will start on the repairs this week. For those of you who did not hear the noise Saturday evening, the wind picked up and was gusting. Right after we decided to put the awnings up, the wind put them them up for us. Right over the top of the trailers! It took 8 of us to get them down and put up right.

But, all in all, it was a great trip and fun was had by all!
