Found a few interesting trailers too , after searching the net.....
So, the Airstream jumped under the tree to help avoid/minimize house/SUV/Porsche damage? What a self-less act of sacrifice and love!

I am glad it was strong enough to stop most of the momentum of the tree as it fell.

Regarding your search, have you uncovered any likely candidates? And how far are you looking? (Road trip!)

In your mind, has your chance of making Springstream in your own (new-to-you) Airstream exceeded 50%? Or are you reserving hope until feedback from the insurance? We're all pulling for justice in the judgement.

I am looking from Tampa to Nashville and Atlanta to Charlotte. So far have found a couple of nice 60's Overlanders, but not sure if we want to go without a grey tank..and whatever else change from the late 70s back to the mid 60s.
I also am trying to go look at a 79 Excella near home.
Springstream is up in the air for us still.....got house repairs going on also, although hopefully they will be done in a fee weeks.

WOW! That's a sad, sad situation. Hopefully you and the family can get this behind you quickly and return to a more normal situation.

Danielle and I saw a used Airstream at Peco Campers as we drove by on Stone Mountain Freeway. It appeared to be in the 70's - 80's vintage, 2 axles, about 30 feet but it's hard to say since we were 100 yards away on highway. I don't see the Airstream listed on the used inventory list at Peco but you can give them a call. Their web site is Peco Campers-Discount RV Camping-Travel Trailers-5th Wheels-Atlanta GA Dealer

All the best, Lucius

Kinda makes you feel safer camping in the forest in an Airstream.

Is this the craigslist one? If so, that's a nice looking trailer.

Where is it? If it's within an hour and a half from Memphis, I'll check it out.

Its on a farm in Lebanon. The owner lives in Nashville. Is that close to you at all? It looks good in the photos so far.

That's about 250 miles away, about a 4 hour drive. I would like to help but I don't think I can come up with a whole day to go and check it out. Surely we have some Nashville folks on here, Lebanon is only about 20-30 miles from Nashvegas. Goodluck.

Alan,

Sorrry about your trailer. Mrmossyone has a good idea about finding someone in Nashville. Think about starting a new thread, as the springstream thread might not get the attention needed.

Craig lives in Tullahoma, not far from Nashville. He certainly knows what to look for. I have pet sitting jobs this weekend, or I would volunteer. We have to get you a new Airstream by April!

Thanks. I am waiting on insurance to give me a figure to see where I am.
I am not opposed to driving to Nashville if it looks like I might bring one back.

Kudos to State Farm and their team. A week today from the wreck and we settled. I deliver the title tommorow to them.
So the search is really on now!

So Alan, I'm curious. What happens to the old AS with the slight wind damage? Do they haul that bad boy off? Or does the undamaged end get carved up and become a wet bar in your basement?

Inquiring minds.
