But you had to leave anyway.
Alan, thanks for coordinating all this as well as sharing your singing and guitar talent. You certainly seemed to pick the right weekend, too.
Looking forward to Falluminum here (the weekend before Halloween as I understand).

Another great rally wknd. Great folks, great food, great warm 70's weather. We all enjoyed the Pizza Chop kids and Alan's Not a Band Band playing last night. Always a treat to hear them play and they are all getting really good. Thank you to my "dear" friend Sally who persuated me to bike up and down every hill she could find several times, I think trying to kill me. Is that a true friend or what. Now we are down the hill at TOG resting up for next wk's rally here. Thanks Alan and all that participated. A great group.

it was a great time. Rain on the way home and while unpacking but no problem. My Overlander was a joy this trip.
FALLUMINUM info is posted in another thread. Also some of us may go to Richard Russell State Park near Elberton GA on June 22 weekend. Its a small park so once we settle on that date reservations should be made. Chime in if interested. Beautiful place, 100 miles from ATL awith a fine beach, fishing, swimming and more. We go every year. The Lake will take your breath away.

Thanks to Alan and Shannon for getting us together for a fun weekend. Springstream 2013 was a big success in our opinion. We had a great time and met some new streamers.
We drove home on Sunday and encountered rain south of Elijay. We drove through Atlanta in heavy rain. There were several accidents but fortunately, none that stopped traffic in our direction.

After posting we found out that our West Point cadet will be home June 22 after a short stint at a base in Lousiana. So Lake Russell campout for us would have to be the 28th-29th weekend...a week before July 4.

Thanks to all who made our visit so enjoyable. We had a great time.
Left Sunday at 10:30 and made it all the way to past Columbus Oh. last night. Now camped at our friends Lou and Larry's for the day and then on home to Canada.
See you all down the road.
Al

Saturday was the weekend day to be here! On cloudy Sunday, the park cleared out like an elevator. I was amazed to see how empty the park got after most of the aluminum cleared out.
Along with us, on Monday the only aluminum here was Lucius and Danielle's, and by the way, Monday was a beautiful day. Here is a picture from Monday looking out on the empty park from our site.
I almost forgot to mention how much I enjoyed the Kaes band (cannot remember the unofficial non-Brenda-approved name that was bandied about). I was impressed at the improvement and hope each of the kids liked it as much as I did.
Phil
By the way, thanks to Al & Jean for sharing a Canadian beer as well as some great conversation!

What's funny is, our drummer (ssssshhhhh) is going for the Justin Beiber "look" (before he went short hair) so we've begun referring to him as "Justin"!
'Course you couldn't tell because of the the stocking cap and shades.
Had lots of fun again, thanks Alan for coordinating and everyone for attending.
We'll keep working at it and eventually maybe we'll even add a female voice to our group!
And Phil/Sue (Sue), big thanks for the clarinet! We will hopefully get Kathryn (or someone) on the clarinet very soon!)

Yup - I get that Justin Bieber thing all the freaking time.
Oh, you mean the other drummer...
