John,

No worries. Leave your fridge full of beer and your rig unlocked. We'll look after things while you're away.

It's not the beer I was going to look for. It's the 15 y.o. Scotch...

I was hoping he'd forget about the single malt and we could sip the afternoon away looking out over the lake.

We enjoyed the fun, fellowship and adventure while camping in North Carolina (Alumilina), and we are really looking forward to Springstream.

Ron, will you sing "Past the Point of Rescue" again, now that I know it? I enjoy that song a lot. What key do you play it in?

Alan, any songs that are on your current list that we haven't done before? I'd like to get a head start.

I've only done it in Em (G). I'll work it up with the boys if you want to do it. Need some backing vocals/harmonies on the chorus to sound right.

We've added a bunch of songs to our list: (Pretty Woman, All Shook Up, Johnny B Goode, You've Lost that Lovin' Feelin', Secret Agent Man, Mountain of Love, 5 O'Clock World, Summer of '69, Stray Cat Strut, etc.)

Oh, and we're going to pick up a canoe tomorrow so I'll be working on a rack to bring it up on top of the van.

Never heard of it. I hope Stan and Lynne are listening!

I looked it up on YouTube.

I'll see if I can embed it here using YouTube language:

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/qDEmmLDyHZc?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I'll have to edit this if the embed thing fails...

Ok, it failed. I wonder how I can show a video here...

Phil, THAT"S IT!!! the ultimate party/love song. And the Swinging Medallions are/were from Greenwood, SC. It goes way back. I'm thinking if Stan can switch his key board over from piano to organ, we can probably find enough back up singers to mess it up pretty good. (not your part Stan, our part). May need to make it the last call song. Practice, practice, practice everyone.
Phil, great job digging it out and gettin' it on here.

Sadly, I am very familiar - great song - great choice! Personally, I'd like to see some more soulful (blues) riffs in our repertoire as well, let Alan, others rip a bit, but quite frankly I haven't met a song I haven't liked. I'm all in, and looking forward!!

We're looking forward to hearing "The Band" again. We always enjoy the music.

Here's one of our favorites, attributed to Tommy McClennan and made popular by Albert King, performed live by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton and others:

I'm thinking my keyboard has an organ button on it. Fun song. I'm game if everyone else is. I also agree with Brad on the blues request. I thought we were going to give "Whiter Shade Of Pale" a try.

If they're truly NABB then aren't we giving them more credit than they don't deserve?

If you're up to it Alan ad Yackey Axe, or There'll be Some Changes Made to the playlist
