Most excellent poem...I just wonder what the "head Streamer" drinks...

On another note, I have an old Magic Chef range that I pulled from my '73 before selling it. I though I was renovating the '73 but got carried away and overwhelmed, and all that's left is the old range. I can bring it up to Springstream if anyone wants it. Here are some pics:

Parked by the house! No way. We are boondocking at the Lake Lanier Rowing Club in the rain. All cozy while we wait for everyone to show up for a wet day of Varsity Head Races. We shared the parking lot with a family of three in a micro bus covered in flower stickers.

We are the cooks. We're serving food with a beautiful view of the finish line.

Loved the poetry. See you soon!

For the brunch is it closer to breakfast menu or is lunch menu.Help me not to show my newness to spring stream. I can't wait.
if you choose to bring something, you bring it to dinner Sat night...and when you give it to my wife she will give you a ticket back. The tix get pulled after to dinner and she will give a random gift from the pile. You get one if you give one.
No one has to do this but it has been fun, the more gifts we swap.
People have brought airstream stuff, homemade things, wines, gift baskets, etc. There is no price level as we don't want anyone to feel it is a burden.

Brunch will be at 9:30 or 10 am or so we will eat when most show up.
We will have a few griddles, dutch ovens, coffee makers, etc. We try to provide pancakes and eggs, bacon and whatever is brought to make it fun. Kids are offered whipped hot chocolate form a machine we bring, and some have baked egg creations, or cinnamon rolls. It is free style. We never seem to lack for food, though we don't tell anyone what to bring.
Sat dinner is awesome, with no plan other than showing up to get it organized about 5:00- 5:30. I have seen twin lines of 50 people each loading up on amazing homemade dishes, breads, desserts..It is a great time. Hope this helps.
The main thing is that no one feels they HAVE to do anything. We will not require more than just showing up.

Thanks

Thanks Alan, This will help me blend into the group and not look obvious. It looks like a fun time and I look forward seeing how many have worked up their Airstreams including the 1966 . Thanks again.

Ok, I can tell this here.

Tommy and I decided to visit family in Virginia while on Spring Break. HE didn't want to take the Moho because we would not have a vehicle to drive. This is where he started hinting that he wanted another trailer.

Since we didn't take the moho, we stayed in motels along the way. Did I mention that we took 2 of our dogs with us? We check into the flea bag motel in central Virginia near my dad's house. There is a sign behind the counter with a homemade picture of a happy dog, a circle around his head and a line through the middle. Well, my dogs had been traveling for 8 hours and they were no longer happy. So we stayed. Now, Terra and Josie are older dogs that do not make a mess, but they do expect to sleep in the bed! We didn't leave them at the motel alone and snuck them in at night and out at morning. I don't know how they knew the dogs were with us, but......2 days later we checked out with the manager saying "You no come back!" Tee Hee!

The next place we stayed was a very nice place that allowed dogs. At an extra $100! But it was nice not to have to sneak them in and out. And the next place also allowed dogs with an extra fee, so no problem there either.

On the way home Tommy and I are discussing the pros and cons of staying in a hotel and taking the dogs versus taking the moho. He still wants to sell the moho and get another trailer (Airstream, of course!) and I am still not through playing with the moho. So.......I decided that the next time we go far away from home, we will take the moho and rent a car. Couldn't cost any more than hotels and all meals!

And that's the moral of the story!

Can't wait for Springstream!

We towed a Saturn behind our moho. These are pretty cheap and you can flat tow them.

Wonder if I could flat tow my Xterra? The moho will tow up to 5000 pounds. Hadn't thought of that. Just don't want to go to all the expense of getting a toad when we will go back to a trailer at some point.

Kathy- you would need to check with the dealer service to see if it will flat tow. If its 4 wheel drive it usually can. Then all you need is a tow bar and light plug in. I used portable tow lights i got at Harbor freight, Magnetic style.

Let's do the Rib City thing on Friday then back for a wine and what ever tasting party. Who is having it. We can have it at our site[ B-15] or where ever. We have WINE and will travel. Rib City is back on NC-69 a few miles. We can meet at the pavilion around 5:30 and go as a group or just meet up there. You can google Rib City and see what is on the menu.

Thursday we usually got for Mexican at the first restaurant on the right going it to town. Anyone wants to go let us know. So far we have us and our SOB friends. come join us we will leave around 5:30.

We can do breakfast on Sunday morning at the provilion. I'll make a peachy french toast. anyone else can add to the list if you want breakfast Sunday morning.

Jim,

I think you meant "Rib Country" vs "Rib City." (located 580 NC 69 South in Hayesville). Here's a link to the menu: Rib Country BBQ: Our Menu - Our Entire Menu

I do wish it was "Rib City!"

Chief

Updated Springstream Map(s)

This rally has become so large, with all the attendees now in section
A, that I have created a map for that area. We're up to 42 trailers/mohos!

Click here to see the map for sections B-F.

Click here to see the map for section A.

As always, if you see any errors let me know. Also, my previous map posts don't work, so always look for my last map post. Click on the map image to make it bigger.

Have safe travels everyone. We leave tomorrow morning for a stop in Jackson Center before the Springstream. Will be pulling into Hiawassee Wednesday or Thursday.
