we will bring pizza crusts, cheese, sauce and some meats for those who want to build their own pizzas, bring your toppings. we will also be bringing our favorite garlic pretzel rolls.

we are thinking of a lawn dart tourny on saturday, husband/wife teams. we have two sets, anyone else have lawn darts (the real ones where people can get hurt)?

I have Bocca Balls, Ladderball and horseshoes. I might still have a set of Jarts.
Someone could bring chopped peppers, Mushroooms and/or onions. Someone could brown "off" sausage/hamberger. Oh, don't forget the "grape juice" Just ideas.
I will bring the big campfire coffee pot

Everyone please bring your favorite toppings and an Italian dish to pass whether it be an appetizer ,main dish or dessert to go with the pizzas and our Italian theme evening on Saturday night.
Cale I believe we have yard Jarts which we will bring.
Thanks again Cale and Amy, Cant wait to see Paden.

Next month at this time. we will all probably feel like "stuffed pizza". I found pizza ovens on sale at Cabelas in their "Bargin basenment" ad. $30.00 so I bought one and Sue and Tom got one. So with these 2 and Landmammals we should be in business. We will also have the charcoal grills as a back-up.
As of now we have 8 units "signed" up.
If you have any other ideas for food or fun, or want to join in, post it here.

later; mike

We now have 2 electric ovens and 2 14 in. mini webers. So, if it rains we have a back-up plan.
How about an old fashion weiner/brat roast and Chips and beans for Thursday night. NOTHING else except something to wash it down with.
Sounds like "FUN" sew ya soon

I found this on-line for cooking over a fire pit. Just hang it from a tripod.
Should be easy to bend up the sheet metal to fit over an old oven rack I've got laying around the basement.
This would be a good thing since I goofed up some dimensions and the oven for the trailer doesn't fit in the new counter top.
I really should be finishing up the trailer remodel first. But you know I sidetrack easily.

Hi everyone, we are only two and a half weeks from our spring outing. Getting spring and camping fever. Tom has been working on the kitchen and claims it will be ready to go.

Saturday nite will be an Italian theme. Cal and Amy who own a restaurant in Wauconda,Illinois have very generously donated the pizzas with cheese and we
need to bring our own toppings. Also everyone needs to bring an Italian dish to pass and as of right now there are 8 couples coming. The dish to pass can be either an appetizer, main course or a dessert.
More to follow ,looking forward to seeing everyone soon.

We are in the final countdown. Next week at this time we will (should) be sitting around the campfire telling lies and solving the problems of the world. But most of all snacking and ?????
Hope to see everyone there, both old and new and relaxing.

10 day forecast from the Weather Channel claims 70's during the day and mid 50's at night. They've lied to us before as the regulars will attest to.
Should be perfect weather at night for campfires and liquid libations.
Sue's been loading up the trailer and I'll de-winterize tommorrow. (Then fix the inevitable plumbing leaks we all love in our Vintage rigs.)
The big winter remodel project is done. Well almost. I can't get the stove in until I move the trailer out from beside the garage.
Oh,yeah. Only an idiot would make tambour doors at home. Ask me how I'll make the remaining set better next time.

See you soon,
Tom

Everyone has a DO, but for something different we will try Pizza over the open fire. Already we are gathering the toppings of different kinds for that one great pizza. Of course there will be other Italian style dishes to go along with it. And don't forget the great Italian beverage.
We , along with a couple of others will be going in on Thursday to start things off. There are several more coming in on Friday morning. The weather forcast looks great and even a greater weekend to be had. There will be food, games, food, conversation, food, etc., and food, and the botttomless coffee pot.
Anyone else that is reading is also welcome. Some of us are WBBCI, some are VAC , some are TAC . NO memberships are required. This is why we call it a get together and NOT a rally.

Another one for the record books.
I hope everyone had a safe trip home on Sunday and avoided the tornadoes, hail and thunderstorms.
Italian night was a big hit. The weather was perfect. We think this was the largest group of people ever attending.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the dinners and decorations.
A special thanks to Cale and Amy for the generous donation of pizza crust, sauce, sausage, cheese and the demo on preparing and cooking our individual pies.
The "Organizing Committee" has started work on October’s Rally. A Mexican theme seemed to be the popular choice and we’ll post everything on the Rally Calendar next month.
I’m loading pics into the computer tonight and will post them up soon.

Thanks again to everyone and we’ll see you down the road,
Tom and Sue
