I wish I knew how to photoshop (or is that photochop!?!) a picture of Clancyboy's rig coming down the highway after dutifully loading up at a Publix. You know, the wheels bowed out with about 30 pounds of tire pressure, Michael barely able to keep the thing going straight down the highway, Tina in the back trying to keep the Sam Adams from falling out of the bed of the truck, and the dogs riding shotgun with a cold beer...
As always, Martin keeps my compass on true north.
I'd like you all to welcome our first "lurker"! We have Nancy, a fellow Airstream owner to join us for this weekend - although she will not be bringing her rig. I offered to tow her AS to the rally, but apparently she's seen me drive. Anyway, please welcome Nancy to our outing and group!

Just don't forget that GDOT has 3 lanes closed in each direction from 9:00 Friday night 'till 5:00 Monday morning on the Atlanta downtown connector for resurfacing or else we won't see you 'till the potluck!

You're either in 44 or 46. We're in 45, and Tom is next to us, but I forget which side of him we are on.

To be less handsome than Martin and more handsome than Brad makes me wonder what I really do look like.

Our reservation says we're in 46. So I'm between Terry and Alan, I think. Or Terry is between Alan and me. Some how, we are all neighbors closed to Sugarfoot.

Actually, Silvercabin said the southbound connector was congested for only a short distance this past weekend. Randy said it was the northbound side that was the mega parking lot. So maybe you won't have to leave at midnight to get there by lunch after all.

OK OK OK OK - enough about trying to judge the "looks" of men - I may not show up if this continues...... You guys have me worried.......
On another note - looks like I have been chosen to supply all the food for everyone according to Brad...... So everyone, don't bring any food - AT ALL, sure, I'll have enough for EVERYBODY.... no problem..... Hope you like ALPO and Walmart brand dog biscuits, and BTW - Clancy Boy is 12.5 years old but he is BIG and really does not like to share, but go ahead - stick your hand near his bowl - that woulld be good for a laugh.....
Mike

Dinner in the area
I just want to remind people that, given the opportunity, a meal at Hunter's Pub ought to be on your list of things WELL worth doing while in the area (11269 GA Highway 219 - 706-628-5992). This is probably 5 miles from the campground.
It is open Tuesday - Saturday for dinner (like 5- 9 PM - not sure). It is a dump - you would never walk in of your own accord. However, it has steaks equal or better than Ruth's Chris, Morton's - pick your favorite steak house. I've been there a number of times, and each time I commit myself to ordering either the filet or the NY strip. Each time, I have been denied, because I have opted for their fish-of-the-day - of my own choice. Now as a born and bred Boston boy, I think I know something about fish. Sorry, but this place trumps any fish house in Boston. Sauces are to die for.
Did I mention it was a dump? Oh yeah, try the lobster tail appetizer and the peanut butter thing for dessert. I don't think either of them are listed on the menu. It's not bring your own silverware, but pretty damn close.

You might be rather nonplussed if Clancy Boy walks up to me, and tries to give me one of his doggie treats. Dogs tend to do that to me, for some reason...
And since you're taking requests for food, I'll take a can of Beneful lamb and rice...

So you're bringing the K9 boys this time. This will be fun. I can see it . . . water, a canoe, two over-active Labs that don't know they're not "teenagers" anymore. I just want to borrow a kayak and sneak up behind this little adventure.
Mike, it will be great to see you and Tina again.

and… Blanchie threw out my thong before thongs were cool. Way before…
em.
ps speaking of food... let's do Pancakes at our place. Pick the morning.

Yep, Clancy and Boudreaux the "Airstream Toughs" will be there. You will see a different side to Daisy this time - she is very brave when she has 200+ pounds of labs to back her up. Yep - the DSS - that's Daisy's Secret Service, now if they would only keep the Raybans on......

I'll bring a bag of chocolate chips...If we're going to get a sugar buzz first thing in the morning, we might as well go all-out.
