dunno yet. Mine is still out of commission! I'll still shoot for November, though... weather permitting!

Talking The "Thang" is just around the corner

We were planning on coming in on Tuesday but it may be a day or two later now. It all depends on how quickly I can rework my black & gray dump valve set up. It's in pieces at this point up to the old gate valve, but I have help! (I need it, trust me ) A Sunday project for a very good friend and myself. He probably doesn't know what he's getting into. Hopefully I'll be back in order and will find find some sheet aluminum to replace the old panel on the belly pan.

Looking forward to a great time.

My schedule was posted today...

Unfortunately the powers-that-be conveniently forgot they were supposed to give me next weekend off. When I reminded the schedule-maker, he informed me the schedule has been made, and cannot be changed.
So, I guess that means no Thang for us.

Anybody want a mechanic? Will work for aluminum...

I got a water pump that needs to be changed, in fact, it's the same one that I changed 10k miles ago. What's yer price?

Bummer y'all can't come up this way. Maybe next time 'round. Maybe WE can actually get to a rally and meet you guys so I can properly thank you in person for all the tips you've given me over the millennia, er, I mean years.

If it's the one on the F 150, about $75, plus mileage...

You got it. It's the one I put the new engine in last year. I changed the water pump, which was perfectly fine "because I had the engine out, you know, just in case". Yeah, right. Why can't I get the concept "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"?

The schedule maker should be disciplined for being so "conveniently" forgetful. Maybe something along the lines of working that weekend in place of the individual he "forgot" about.

We've had 4 people quit or get fired in the last couple of weeks, so I'm sure being short handed had something to do with his amnesia.
I fully intend to have a conference with management in the morning. I expect the conference to last no more than five minutes, after which time I will either have the time off, be fired, or have given my notice. Stay tuned, things happen fast around us...

Just remember when you give them a piece of your mind to keep some for yourself...you might need it to find a new job in a difficult job market.

Deal! 75 south to exit 279. Follow signs.

Seriously, I am real upset, but so is Terry. I'm a boss myself, and I make every effort to give requested time off. If I "forget", I talk to the staff and get people to change with the person, or I work the shift myself. My employees may be spoiled, but they in turn spoil my residents and that's what we're there for.

I would not want a p----d off mechanic working on my car!. wait a minute he will be because my a/c is weirding out on me. Just dandy!

We were so looking forward to seeing everyone and having a good time. But there will be more rallies and we will get to falluminium.

Marie
