OK - let's have it, I can take it..........

When food turns bad

Pictures or not, be careful what you order.

OK, I'll go make my salad now

And just so everyone knows, I have nothing against carnivores. Believe it or not, I can cook a mean Mongolian Beef dish. I even use real steak.

Mike, it will really be great to see you and Tina again.

We'll be packing some pop-tarts for the weekend, lest we be offered salad "at the source" or waste "well done".

That's mighty democratic of you. You know, I have nothing against vegetarians either. Don't understand 'em...of course, I have always said, if I had to kill it, clean it and then cook it, I'd be a vegetarian, too. That's the main reason I don't like fish I guess; too many fishing trips and having to clean the fish afterward. Fish guts. Thank goodness for supermarkets. As you all know from looking at me, we have plenty of supermarkets in Fayetteville.

I am not sure which one of the four food groups baked beans falls in to (steak, sugar, chocolate, beer), but anyone partaking should make sure they have a waterfront site.

Depends on on if you leave your trailer door open when you are eating. Then all your mails could be potluck and shared.

I spent a few seconds reviewing all the previously important posts in this thread to discover these truths:

Brad mentioned food or beer 179 times for 180 different locations (including the pavillion). 51 mentions of Friday night, 100 mentions of Saturday, and 28 mentions of Sunday morning. He also mentioned golfing, hiking, boating, musicianing, AND leaving on a jet plane. Allow me to pause for effect..............

Breakfast was mentioned several times by several people, no day preferences, except Sunday when some bright attendee mentioned both "you can't eat in two places at once" and "no beer shall remain unsavored".

Lunch and the Tea Room were connected a few times. I assume this to be Saturday.

Dog Food, Dog Poop, and Grass are by far the most requested items. This covers the carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores.

Can "someone in charge" assign a date and time to the potluck? I mean, I *would*, but I can assume no responsbility for "adults".

I just was informed that I have a brief to give on my summer vacation trip to the N Atlantic and will have to come in on Friday morning to give it. We will still be there but will somebody call the AL Hwy Patrol and let them know there will be a fast moving Airstream with an F250 attached passing through on Friday. We will be leaving later in the morning but should be there by 4pm - Mapquest says 5.35 hours, ahhhhh what do they Know!!!!!

I believe a breech in Rally Etiquette has occurred.

In simple terms it is neither nice nor encouraged to act in such a way that demonstrates displeasure with the rally Organizer.

This would certainly include previously made statements by said Organizer that he or she may have made while under some chemical influence or mental lapse.

This unacceptable behavior would (hopefully) be extended to his occasional BBQ provider & Airstream buddy whom said Organizer considers “handsome eye candy”.

Regarding the Sat. “potluck” schedule:
I feel rather comfortable speaking for the rally Organizer.

Thereby let it be known:

When the sun is no longer shining directly into the Pavilion and no threat to the Organizer’s cocktail (premature ice melting I believe is the main issue) we shall proceed with setting up the vast spread of food items.

The 2nd rule of pot-luck scheduling may be in effect if there is cloud cover and no direct rays to threaten previously mentioned cocktails. This rule is derived directly from the name “pot-luck”.
Simply put, if you & your pot are lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time, you may find yourself participating in a most satisfactory din-din.

Hope this addresses your concerns & answers your question,
EC
